The special edition SIX DAYS models celebrate this success with special performance upgrades and top-of-the-line components. In 2016 the ISDE (International Six Days Enduro) will be held in Navarra, Spain and the KTM model line-up has been suitably equipped to handle anything the dusty and rocky terrain can throw at it. Arriba! Features may include: FRONT SUSPENSION The all-new WP XPlor 48 upside-down fork is a split fork developed by WP in close collaboration with KTM. It is fitted with a spring on both sides but features separated functions for each fork leg: compression damping is fitted on the left side, while rebound is on the right. So the forks can easily be adjusted for compression and rebound with the twist of a dial on the top of the forks. In addition, a longer and sealed hydro-stop guarantees better resistance to bottoming-out. Due to high-quality materials and a state-of-the-art production process, the new XPlor 48 fork - with approx. 300mm of travel - has outstanding response and damping characteristics and is about a half of a pound lighter than its predecessor. ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM The state-of-the-art Keihin Engine Management System with electronic fuel injection features an all-new 42mm throttle body. Thanks to its unique injector position, the engine s response gives a whole new meaning to the word instantaneous . And to make life even easier, separate systems for cold starts and idle adjustment await you. Push the throttle back when the engine s alive and well, and the cold start mode disengages. As a proud owner of a SIX DAYS 4-stroke model you can select a stronger power curve and activate the unique traction control system for maximized grip. A bonus mapping via the map select switch on the handlebar, brings even more ferocity to the game. FRAME The high-tech, lightweight chrome-moly steel frame is engineered for excellent handling, precise cornering and supreme stability. You can also count on high torsional rigidity and low longitudinal stiffness for better absorption of the energy created by the front and rear suspension sucking up jumps and bumps. In short: more comfort and less rider fatigue. Laterally attached, lightweight engine head stays contribute to a reduced vibration level. Two threaded inserts in the lower cradle tubes allow for an optional skid plate. The engineers were able to pull off all that, while making the frame two pounds lighter than that of the lightest competitor on the market. In addition, the frame is easier to maintain, easier to work on and supplies more space for the tank and other components. Features May Include: AIRBOX The airbox on the KTM 300 XC-W Six Days allows maximum air to pass through, but minimal dust and spray. Replacement of the twin-air filter takes approx. 15 seconds, without any tools. Absolutely "READY TO RACE". OPTIMISED ENGINE The powerful KTM 300 XC-W Six Days engine fitted with 6-speed transmission and electric starter unites an unbeatable 2-Stroke power-to-weight ratio with outstanding performance and responsive handling. BODYWORK The KTM 300 XC-W Six Days has bodywork with extremely slim ergonomics and excellent contact points between rider and machine. It provides unlimited freedom of movement. HANDLEBAR All XC-W models are fitted with the super strong, tapered Neken handlebars made of high tensile strength aluminum alloy. The proven standard KTM mount allows the handlebar to be fixed in four different positions. The open hand guards are serial equipment providing optimum protection of the rider's hands. INDIVIDUAL SUSPENSION SETTING Each XC-W model has its own individual suspension settings, optimally tuned to weight and engine. At the rear, a PDS shock absorber from WP Suspension works with a direct linkage to the upper side of the swingarm. The wide range of setting options for rebound damping and high- and low-speed compression damping are standard on KTM bikes. TELESCOPIC FORK The KTM Six Days models are equipped with a 48 mm 4CS closed-cartridge fork from WP Suspension. The 4-chamber technology (4CS) patented by WP not only provides a key benefit in terms of responsiveness and consistent damping characteristics, it is also lighter and oil services prove to be far simpler than on conventional closed-cartridge versions. Suspension settings can easily be adapted to the terrain and rider in a matter of a few clicks at the top of the fork: compression damping on the left-hand shaft, rebound damping on the right - another advantage of the 4CS technology. FRAME The modern frame design of the 300 XC-W Six Days, comprising lightweight, high strength, chrome-molybdenum steel section tubes, combines maximum longitudinal stiffness with optimum torsional stiffness.
