2016 KTM 250 SX-F, 2016 KTM 250 SX-F Small-Bore Domination The 250 SX-F is once again the World Champion in MX2 and adds a prestigious AMA Supercross Lites Championship to its amazing trophy cabinet. The 2014 season was a great success in racing at all levels around the globe, and 2015 promises to be no different. Already known for its strong performance, the new generation 250 SX-F presents itself with a newly developed, stronger engine built into an all-new chassis. The performance combination of a powerful and much torqueier engine in a lightweight and agile chassis is sure to make the 250 SX-F the star of the show for the future. The new 250 SX-F, the lightest and best performing bike in its class, is the right choice for both the amateur and professional riders, as it will remain a winning bike that will be hard to chase for its competitors. Features May Include: ENGINE The new 250 SX-F engine is based on the similar overall design of its predecessor, with some major refinements to make this MX2 power plant more compact and lighter, with the production of improved torque and power across the entire rpm range. Perhaps one of the most impressive benefits of the new design is a weight reduction of 1.1 kg to a total of 26.1 kg, including the incredibly beneficial electric starter. The reworked power unit guarantees an improved power curve over the entire rev range up to 14,000 rpm, which makes the new 250 SX-F much easier to ride for both amateur and professional riders. CYLINDER HEAD The centerpiece of the compact DOHC (Double Overhead Camshaft) engine is the new cutting-edge cylinder head. It features improved combustion chamber geometry, two 150 g lighter overhead camshafts with new timings, plus a friction-optimized super-fine surface, new finger followers with a 30 % harder DLC coating and a reworked timing drive (friction reduced and shorter DID timing chain, new sprockets and chain guides). New valve springs and retainers for the four lightweight titanium valves (intake 32.5 mm, exhaust 26.5 mm) and high-flow ports create a maximized flow rate for an optimal power band and maximum performance, which concludes at an engine speed sound barrier of 14,000 rpm. CYLINDER & PISTON In the reworked and shorter cylinder that has a bore of 78 mm, is a weight-reduced, forged bridged box-type piston made by CP. It features a unique piston ground shape adapted to the new combustion chamber and stands out with its extra rigid structure, combined with a low weight. The compression ratio is at 14.4:1. Thanks to the low oscillating masses, the engine offers extremely lively characteristics. BATTERY AND WIRING HARNESS As in the past, all new SX-F engines are fitted with the proven electric starter a unique KTM feature and a major benefit at all levels of motocross racing. For MY 2016 the SX-F range fits a super compact and lightweight 495 g lithi

2014 KTM 250 SX-F, 2014 KTM 250 XC-F HANDLING MIRACLE WITH AN ALL-NEW ENGINE The 250 XC-F has been is an established force. The feisty four-stroke 250 engine hits the scene with a new Supercross hampionship under its belt combined with cross-country competition in it's components. In fact, the 250 XC-F has taken Factory FMF/KTM rider Maria Forsberg to three consecutive Women's GNCC Championships and 2 X-Games Enduro X Gold Medals. Features May Include: CLUTCH The highly compact CSS (coil spring steel) clutch uses a wear-free steel basket and eight clutch plates which are extremely heat resistant due to their steel carrier discs. The Brembo hydraulic system with its new master cylinder provides easy and precise modulation. CYLINDER HEAD he centerpiece of the compact DOHC engine is its cutting-edge cylinder head with two overhead camshafts and DLC-coated followers a design that allows to break the engine speed sound barrier of 14,000 rpm. Combined with extra lightweight titanium valves (intake 32.5mm, exhaust 26.5mm), flow optimized ports ensure a maximized flow rate for top performance. BALANCER SHAFT In order to balance the mass-forces, the 250 engine uses a multifunctional counter balance shaft which also drives the water pump and timing chain. The engine receives a new water pump cover with a new gasket in order to optimize the seal. ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EMS) In combination with the revolutionary injector position as developed by KTM, the Keihin Engine Management System with electronic fuel injection and 44mm throttle body provides the engine with a spontaneous response and maximum performance. For 2014, the wire harness of the 250 XC-F has been further simplified and even higher quality wires and connectors are used. In order to protect them against pressure washers, many connectors are now enclosed in new rubber boots. With an optional map-select switch from the PowerParts program, EMS continues to allow selecting different engine characteristics. In addition, the optional User-Setting-Tool allows to readout engine data with a laptop and change the ignition and injection mappings with a few mouse clicks. SUSPENSION/DAMPING For 2014, all XC models are fitted with a newly developed 48mm 4CS Closed Cartridge fork featuring the patented 4-Chamber-System. The sophisticated design provides very constant and sensitive damping characteristics and an adjustable end progression. The new hand click adjuster system is now accessible on top of the fork, rebound on the right hand side, compression on the left. The fork is fitted with improved seal rings made by SKF and high performance fork oil (SAE 4). Compared to the predecessor, the new 4CS fork is lighter , easier to maintain and has been complet

2014 KTM 250 SX, 2014 KTM 250 SX POWER UP The 250 SX is considered to be the motocross bike with the best power-to-weight ratio. The lightweight 2-stroke engine scores with unrivaled performance, wrapped into an extremely lightweight chassis - a serious competitor for the more complex 4-stroke contenders. Features May Include: TRIPLE CLAMPS Top-quality, CNC-machined triple clamps have been something of a KTM trademark. Ensuring a precise handling, they perceptibly support the flex characteristics, and with it, the fork's action. SWINGARM Designed using the latest in calculation and simulation software, the design and wall thickness of the cast aluminum swingarm have been optimized for minimum weight at optimum stiffness and precisely defined flexibility provides perfect stability at minimum weight. For 2014, the engineers have revised the chain guide to increase reliability while lowering the weight. SUSPENSION/DAMPING The rear monoshock as well as the 48mm upside-down front fork by WP Suspension guarantee the best response and damping characteristics. In 2014, the fork has more reserves against bottoming out thanks to their optimized setting. Of course, compression and rebound damping can be adjusted to the track conditions and the rider's preferences with a twist of the wrist - the rear monoshock even has separate high and low speed adjustments. AIR BOX The airbox design offers maximum protection of the air filter against soiling while ensuring maximum airflow for top performance. The Twin Air filter can be changed without tools in seconds, a standard for KTM. HANDLEBAR All SX models are fitted with the super strong, tapered Renthal Fatbar 827 whose bend is especially well suited for the requirements of motocross. The proven standard KTM mount allows to fix the handlebar in four different positions. A large Renthal crash pad in a classy combination of black and silver, offers effective crash protection for the rider. BRAKES High-Tech Brembo brakes have always been standard equipment on KTM offroad bikes. Combined with the lightweight Wave discs, they are the ultimate solution in braking technology. The SX models gain a newly-developed master cylinder with a new reservoir, a smaller piston diameter and optimized lever kinematics. Combined with optimized brake pads, this makes for another perceptible improvement of front brake performance and action. CLUTCH A new DDS clutch (Damped Diaphragm Steel) with a wear-free steel cage is fitted to the new KTM 250 SX engine, allowing use of thin steel discs for minimum overall width. The diaphragm spring, which preloads the package, not only reduces the operating force required to pull the clutch, but also provides space for integrated hub damping. The result: more traction and protection for the transmission. And
