This bike is a 2003 Kawasaki ZR-7S - the 's' indicating "sport" so as not to be confused with ZR-7, which was a different but similar model. It is usually classed as a "low-tech" bike, informally, which basically means its a real bike without a whole lot of electronic bells and whistles. In other words: Its a plus, because its far easier for you to maintain; and I have done the vast majority of maintenance on this bike since I bought it. Frankly, the only reason I'm selling it is because I'm a welder and I'll be travelling for work soon, and this is not a practical mode of transportation for my line of work etc., etc... I've used her to travel a good portion of the South - From Tennessee to Blue Ridge to the Heart of Alabama; And in different weathers... rain, cold, mountain passes, the works. She holds up real well; But she does not do tight maneuvers that well... Well, let me put it this way, I was not skilled enough to pull it off - I never felt the need to really push her that hard, I just enjoyed the bike. So, that's just something to keep in mind - That said, this is not a high-performance racer, she wasn't built for that; but she will go 70-80 mph all day happy as a clam with no fuss. After I bought her, one of the front wheel bearings began to fail... so both have been replaced relatively recently. I've bled and refilled the brake lines myself, and on this bike its really not hat hard to do. Chain maintenance every 300 +/- miles and no problems so far. The headlight was replaced with a non-OEM part. You could probably find better on the web. I heard of a guy named Daniel Stern who does excellent lighting for autos... I've taken good care of her, and if you can do that much as well, than she'll be good for you. Any questions, feel free to ask... The bike is also for sale locally; and by that I mean I have a few friends that are interested, but not much other than that at this point. Keep in mind that these bikes are not very common. One more thing... Don't insult me with a ridiculously low offer. If you can't afford what the bike is worth, then you can't afford it. I will consider reasonable offers, however... Available for local pick-up only... I will accept credit card or cash in-person. Other arrangements like Cashiers Check could be made, but we'll figure that out if you're really interested.
