THE KAWASAKI VULCAN® 1500 CLASSIC Celebrates 10th anniversary in style This V-twin cruiser is dressed in timeless style right off the showroom floor. And for 2006, the Vulcan 1500 Classic celebrates it’s10th anniversary with a special two-tone color combination and commemorative emblems. A large part of its popularity is due to Kawasaki’s Fire & Steel™ accessories, which give those with a penchant for customization, all of the tools needed to make the Vulcan® 1500 Classic a truly unique ride. Beginning with its single pin, 50 degree V-twin engine, the 1500 Classic produces incredible low-rpm torque that’s perfect for city streets or open highways. This fuel-injected, liquid cooled, SOHC design displaces 90 cubic inches and shines with elegantly sculpted cylinders and polished cooling fins, while the large radiator is tucked from view between the frame downtubes. Both of the big V-twin’s cylinders have four valves actuated by a single overhead cam (SOHC). Hydraulic valve lash adjusters automatically maintain valve clearance for smooth engine performance, reduced noise and low maintenance while automatic cam chain tensioners keep cam timing accurate. The Vulcan 1500 Classic’s five-speed transmission takes advantage of the engine’s generous torque by utilizing precisely spaced gears to provide smooth, quiet shifting for seamless acceleration. The top gear provides a relaxed engine speed on the highway. The hydraulically actuated clutch provides progressive torque absorption to help ensure smooth and precise power delivery to a reliable, quiet shaft drive that requires minimal maintenance. A gear-driven engine counter balancer and rubber engine mounts reduce handlebar and floorboard vibration. The engine produces a distinct V-twin rumble and more than 85 foot-pounds of torque at 3,000 rpm. A crack of the throttle punches out smooth acceleration while a large alternator provides enough output to power electrical accessories. The classic cruiser look is long and low, which is exactly how the Vulcan 1500 Classic’s chassis is designed. An extra-low 27.6-inch seat height, wide handlebar, forward-mounted floorboards and plush suspension system make the 1500 Classic a comfortable ride. The speedometer, fuel gauge and warning lamps are located in a center console on top of the wide 5.0-gallon fuel tank. A large-diameter, chrome halogen headlight not only illuminates the open road, it gives the Classic a distinctive appearance.

Awesome bike, barely broken in with less than 16000 miles. Has Vance & Hines straight shot pipes, Kuryakn Pro Series Hypercharger, and a Power Commander that makes it sound sweet and gives it plenty of power. Comes with hard leather saddle bags, engine guard with highway pegs, after market grips, passenger backrest, custom paint job, basically new tires. Fuel injected and shaft drive. I’ll throw in a trickle charger and two helmets (one small and one large).Will consider trading for a golf cart.

This bike is SWEET!! It is mine, a lady rider. Some things have come up in my life and I can no longer ride. I want this bike to go to someone who enjoys long rides. I am a member of Comal River Riders Club out of New Braunfels and my last trip was in August to Big Bend. Bike has some sound - Cobra pipes; Super comfortable ride - Mustang seat; Lots of storage - Leatherlyke saddlebags; Visibility - Large windshield; Because I've not had time to ride my Mileage is only 12,372.Bike has NEVER BEEN DROPPED or in an accident. Has 1 small scratch on gas tank (tiny). Completely black in color - I've never added any graphic, so a blank slate - ready for some creativity. Has recently been serviced and tags are all current. This is by NO MEANS A LADIES BIKE. I have been stopped by Harley Riders asking what the bike is and how nice it is. I also have gear that is being sold as well. Thanks for looking. I have 2 identicle 2003 Kawasaki Nomad 1500's for sale. These bikes have been owned by my wife and I, as the original owners. Unfortunately, we feel we can no ride due to orthopedic issues. These bikes have not been ridden very much for the past 6-7 years as we both have had multiple surgeries. As a result, the milage on these bikes are only 9031 and 10016. They are essentially just "broken in" and are in extremely good condition. These bikes have never been ridden in the rain, and have always been kept in our garage. Upgrades for both include: custom hand grips, custom foot rests, and custom back rests. They have chrome engine guards and are shaft driven-fuel injection models. They both had a complete service a year ago, including new tires, clutch maintenence, and oil and fluid changes, and have been ridden less than 100 miles since.
