Redesigning Fun The all-new sporty design of the Versys 650 balances style, wind protection, aerodynamics and heat management to provide an exciting, comfortable ride. The upright seating position is relaxed, while the wide handlebar makes initiating turns easier. The horizontal dual headlamps are also new for this year to enhance style and improve visibility. Engine The 651cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, parallel-twin engine pumps out strong low- to mid-range torque that is usable, fun, and responsive on most any road. Tuned for versatile performace, the compact parallel-twin is a thrill to ride across town or across state lines. And revised Digital Fuel Injection (DFI®) helps to improve fuel economy for even longer adventures. 2015 Kawasaki Versys 1000 LT, SWEET ADVENTURE BIKE!!! - We?ve been missing out. Kawasaki?s 1,043cc inline-4-powered Versys 1000 has been kicking around other markets since 2012, but finally joins its Ninja 1000 and Z1000 stablemates stateside in 2015. That?s good, because we?re fond of the torquey engine powering this trifecta. We?re also big fans of the Versys? jack-of-all-trades character, even if the previous 650 twin had a face only a mother could love. Redesigned for 2015, the Versys 1000 LT has a host of standard features, and its $12,799 price means it significantly undercuts the competition from Europe (BMW, Triumph, KTM) and Japan (Yamaha and Suzuki). Standard fare on the LT is generous, including color-matched 28-liter single-key hard cases, handguards, a manually adjustable (without tools) windshield, ABS, KTRC traction control (with four settings), two power modes, a slipper clutch (with assist function), and a fully adjustable KYB fork and shock with provisions for preload and rebound.

2015 Kawasaki Versys 650 ABS, ADVENTURE AT HALF THE PRICE - Changes to both models include a new subframe that accommodates the saddlebags and an optional 47-liter top case (both of which can be fit to the standard model). The footpeg location has been altered on both machines (15mm lower, 20mm forward) for improved comfort. Other changes include a larger windscreen with tool-less adjusters (there?s 2.4 in. of vertical adjustment), and completely updated styling. A fully adjustable Showa SFF fork and KYB shock with a remote preload adjuster are new, as is the complete braking system with new Nissin calipers front and rear, twin 300mm petal-style discs, and a larger 250mm rear rotor. ABS is standard.
