2015 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R 30th Anniversary ABS, 2015 Kawasaki Ninja® ZX -6R ABS 30th Anniversary The Middleweight Champ The 2015 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R motorcycle is a brilliant middleweight streetbike with a championship lineage on the track. For a furious engine full of character, the ZX-6R is also an incredibly sophisticated machine with KTRC traction control, top-of-the-line Showa suspension, selectable power modes and optional ABS. The reign of the 636 has returned. Features may include: Suspension The 2015 ZX-6R features Showa Separate Function Big Piston Fork, which provides increased damping performance while braking over traditional cartridge-style forks. All fork adjustments are made easily from the top, with the preload function in the left tube and damping functions in the right tube. You only need to make one adjustment per function and initial suspension reaction is smoother with the Big Piston internals as it allows the fork to maintain its composure during braking. In the rear, the Uni-Trak® suspension system with a fully-adjustable shock lets you dial in preload, compression and rebound to suit your riding style whether on the street or the track. Handling Kawasaki engineers spent vast amounts of time perfecting the pressed aluminum frame to work with the suspension components and bike ergonomics to develop a chassis that is both stable and nimble. The ZX-6R flicks into corners quickly yet offers tremendous mid-range cornering, the ability to change lines at will, and excellent chassis feedback just what you want on either the street or on the track. Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) Three-Mode Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) allows riders to select how much, if any, traction control they want or need based on conditions or preference. This is complemented by two selectable power modes (either Full or Low, which limits power to approximately 80%), providing riders eight electronics configurations to choose from. Engine The long-stroke design of the 636cc engine was developed to provide class-leading low- and mid-range power, along with peak power that closely mimics much larger bikes. If you re commuting or canyon riding, most of your time is spent in the low- and mid-range, so the 38mm throttle bodies, a large air box, high-lift intake and exhaust cam profiles, and joint pipes that connect all four of the exhaust headers creates the most user-friendly powerband in the middleweight superbike category. Braking Ninja ZX-6R ABS models feature Kawasaki Intelligent antilock Braking System (KIBS), an advanced system derived from that of the championship-winning Ninja ZX-10R. This system provides an extremely light feel at the lever, while also managing feedback from the brakes to keep things smooth. KIBS takes full advantage of the Nissin monobloc front calipers, 310mm p

2014 Kawasaki Ninja ZX -6R ABS, Continuing the Family Tradition of Dominance What s in a number? Only everything. Six percent may not sound like much, but it is the displacement advantage the 2014 Ninja® ZX -6R ABS supersport has over the rest of the 600 cc class. This performance advantage began over a decade ago with the first 636, a revolutionary machine that blew-away the competition s 600 s and won races against factory 750 s on the track. The 2014 ZX-6R ABS continues family tradition of racetrack dominance and unmatched street cred with its physical embodiment of the family slogan: Performance Counts! 3-mode Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) The system uses minimal hardware supplemented by advanced software. In addition to the engine s ECU, the system only requires front and rear wheel speed sensors, meaning minimal additional weight is required for traction control. In Mode 3, the system functions like mode 2 under most conditions, but when excessive rear wheel spin is detected, Mode 3 switches to complete 3-way control of ignition timing, fuel delivery and intake airflow to regulate engine output to a level that allows the rear wheel to regain grip. By controlling the sub-throttles in the intake tract for precise torque management, a smooth and natural feeling can be attained: Mode 3 intervention and on / off transitions are very smooth to help maintain stability. In modes 1 and 2, conditions are analyzed 200 times per second and any necessary adjustments are made through ignition timing alone, for extremely quick response from the engine and KTRC system Using complex programming algorithms, the KTRC system is able to predict impending wheelspin and act before slippage exceeds the optimum range, allowing reductions in power to be minimized for ultra-smooth operation Handy mode selector on the left clip-on makes it easy for the rider to change KTRC settings The KTRC system may also be turned-off completely, at the rider s discretion Mode 3 prioritizes slip elimination, similar to the Concours14® ABS sport touring KTRC system, for enhanced rider confidence in mixed or slippery conditions Mode 2 is tuned to help provide a balance of performance with minimal wheel slip Mode 1 is tuned to maximize acceleration, like the ZX-10R S-KTRC system 3 different modes are tuned to cover a wide-range of situations from advanced racetrack use, to normal street riding, to mixed / slippery conditions, for enhanced rider confidence 3-mode KTRC traction control combines the best elements of the Ninja ZX-10R S-KTRC and ZX-14R / Concours 14 KTRC systems. 636 cc Engine 12.9:1 compression ratio is optimum for this engine s bore and stroke Molybdenum coating on piston skirts reduces friction and facilitates engine break-in Strong connecting rods suit the power delivery of this engine High-performance airbox design contributes to peak power and smooth power delivery Single-bore
