I bought this bike early last year; it has been an extremely reliable commuter, canyon carver, and sport tourer. This is the bulletproof Kawasaki 650 parallel twin (also used in the Versys) with a linear torque curve and power throughout the entire range. The oil & filter have been changed religiously with Full Synthetic (JASO-MA Approved) every 3K miles. I've flushed and changed the antifreeze, twice in the past year as a good measure. The valves are within spec, and she starts up from cold the first time every time. The bike has a new air filter and DID chain & sprocket set (front & rear), less than a week old.
