2001 Kawasaki Ninja 500R, I am posting my 2001 Kawasaki Ninja 500r - EX500. This bike has recently been overhauled as it was a project and is ready to be sold. These are the things that have been done to it; - Recent tire change (both front and rear) they have about 1000 miles on them each - The brake pads (front and rear) have been changed as well also about 1000 miles on them - The clutch cover gasket has been changed because it had been leaking when first purchased - The head gasket was replaced due to an issue with overheating (this problem has since been fixed and I am daily driving this machine with no problems) - The cooling system has also undergone a flush and a cleaning to get rid of the residue built inside (the previous owner had not taken care of it, and it was obvious that it was not flowing correctly). There is now Engine Ice flowing through its veins, and I have not had an issue with overheating since. - The carburetor has been cleaned - The paint, as shown in the pictures is about a year old, it was professionally done. The fairings have a few minor pieces missing however due to the previous owners lack of care. One being where the petcock is - not really something many people have noticed, and one being right under the mirror base - also not really noticeable unless you take the mirror off and look. - The mirrors are integrated LED turn signals for extra safety. - This bike has about 25,xxx miles on it and will probably continue because I am driving it daily. - Current MPG calculation for this engine has given me 55.6 mpg, so it is still efficient. The reason I am getting rid of this bike is because I am looking for something newer or a step up. I am ready for a new bike. I am asking $2500 OBO for it.
