Powerful, rugged and a great performer in an affordable package While the competition sells some nice big-bore all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) with single-cylinder engines and four-wheel drive, the Brute Force™ 650 4x4 comes with Kawasaki’s legendary V-twin engine, a leading-edge 4x4 system and angular good looks for about the same price. The Brute Force 650 4x4 is powered by Kawasaki’s highly acclaimed liquid-cooled 633 cc, 90-degree V-twin engine featuring single overhead cams and four valves per cylinder. It is fed by dual 32 mm Keihin carburetors drawing fresh air from a snorkel intake located high in the frame near the steering head. Together, these powerplant features provide the rider with industry-leading torque and smooth-running operation unmatched by the competition. Power is then transferred to Kawasaki’s much-acclaimed fully automatic continuously variable transmission (CVT). With high or low forward gears, plus neutral and reverse, this proven transmission functions seamlessly, providing excellent control for both low- and high-speed work or recreational riding. Plus, the Brute Force 650 4x4 can also be started in any gear, provided the brakes are applied. Complementing the CVT is a switch on the right handle bar that gives the rider a choice of either two-wheel or four-wheel drive operation, and power is delivered to the wheels by dependable, low-maintenance shaft drive. In normal four-wheel drive mode, the front wheels provide extra traction for adverse terrain, while the limited-slip differential allows the rider to make tight turns and reduces steering effort.

LOW SEAT HEIGHT AND FRIENDLY POWERBAND The Kawasaki Vulcan® 500 LTD is a great, first-time buyer’s bike for those who want to enter the cruiser lifestyle, because its low seat height, friendly powerband and affordability make it easy to develop those all-important riding skills. The Vulcan 500 LTD gets its power from a 498cc parallel-twin, based on the same engine that powers the Ninja® 500R sportbike. Liquid cooling helps this cruiser maintain consistent operating temperatures for longer engine life and sustained power. The engine has also been tuned to deliver power as suited to boulevard cruising as it is to more spirited riding. The six-speed transmission, complete with Kawasaki’s exclusive Positive Neutral Finder, allows riders to use the engine to its full potential. Equally user-friendly is the chassis, which has a long and low steel frame that contributes to the 500 LTD’s classic cruiser looks, and with a saddle that’s just 28 inches from the ground, it puts just about any size rider at ease. As for style, the Vulcan 500 LTD’s nod to the custom crowd includes a stepped seat, bobbed rear fender, tank-mounted speedometer and chrome-plated wire-spoke wheels. Admire it as is, or select enhancements from Kawasaki’s Fire & Steel™

2004 Kawasaki KFX700 V Force, Low hours and very clean with added extra's! - When Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A., unveiled the V-twin-powered Prairie 650 4x4 in 2001, it changed every idea of what constituted a four-wheel-drive all-terrain vehicle (ATV). True to its innovative approach to ATV design and penchant for creating ultra-high-performance products, Kawasaki has again changed all the rules and conceptions, only this time it's in the world of sport ATVs. The Kawasaki KFX700 V Force is the first sport ATV in the industry to feature a V-twin engine. It has set new standards for power, control, handling and comfort that until now have not existed in one single sport ATV. "The V Force offers instantaneous power delivery, tracks precisely thanks to its racing-style chassis, yet is easy to ride because of its fully automatic transmission," said Jim Williams, ATV product manager for Kawasaki. "V Force riders simply won't get as fatigued as they would on a typical manually shifting sport ATV, allowing them to ride more aggressively for longer periods of time."
