Up for sale is my 2009 Kawasaki KLR 650. I'm looking to upgrade to something with better road/highway manners and thus have to let the KLR go. I bought this bike in the summer of 2014 from the original owner. I love this bike and wish I could keep it, but I live in Brooklyn so only one bike at a time. Check out this video for why KLRs are great: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwaCUTg8V2AIt has 13,470 miles and I am still using it to commute so the mileage will climb slightly. The bike is kept indoors year-round in a shared garage. Clean title in my name. This bike makes an excellent urban commuter - great riding position, lots of torque, enough suspension travel to take on curbs and potholes, top box to hold your bag or groceries, etc. On the highway it's comfortable up to about 80mph. Offroad it's great on wider, more easy going trails. It's a little heavy for more technical tracks, but people do it.The bike starts on 1-3 cranks every time, no matter how cold or hot, revs smoothly up to it's redline in all gears with no weird vibrations or rattles, keeps itself cool on hot summer afternoons in traffic. Maintenance: Oil changes every 2k miles or at the end of the season with Rotella T 15w40. Air filter cleaned and oiled every season (or more if it was a dusty ride). Chain cleaned regularly and lubed with a dry teflon spray. 10,000 mile service included: - New Chain- New front and rear sprockets - New tires (Mefo Explorers front & rear)- New inner tubes- New UNI air filter- Valve clearance check (everything was in spec)- New front brake pads + line bleed- New oil filter- Replaced majority of fasteners with stainless hex-head screws- Reinforce electrical harness in known rub spots I just had it inspected - good through March 2018. The fairings are original and have a few light scratches here and there but are intact and look good. Previous owner removed the decals. The bike comes with a bunch of great farkles (add-ons): - Full Staintune exhaust - header and muffler- KLX jet kit + airbox mod, tuned for the new exhaust- Progressive front suspension- Barkbuster Storm handguards (with flush bar-end weights)- Moose Racing skid plate / bash guard- SW Motech engine guards / crash bars- PMRacks side utility racks- Back Road Equipment quick-release luggage rack- Pelican 1550 top case - Happy Trails Rallye windscreen system- Kawasaki extended windscreen - Pro-taper handlebars- Progrip 714BK Gel Grips- Ignition relay-switched accessory fusebox (e.g. only on when key is turned)- Cree LED auxiliary lights (w/ switch on handlebars)- USB charging port for your phone or camera- LED bulbs in instrument panel - Sealed AGM battery

This is a low mileage motorcycle barely used well-maintained has a right-hand side brake handle chip from resting against garage and I tried to take off the decals on the right-hand side (I wanted to make the bike all black). I will replace both if needed for the sale price however these are cheap fixes. Other than that the bike is in great shape new tires recent tuneup needs inspection now that it's 2017 but everything else is sound. New fluids. Tune up was $700+ with tires. Never had a chance to ride it, held onto it all these years hoping that would change so now Im finally letting it go. Great bike, plenty of power, strong engine, I will miss it. Will deliver within 150 mils for $50-$200 depending on location. Clean title in hand. This bike is for sale elsewhere so subject to pull listing per sale elsewhere
New Battery, new bearings, progressive front suspension, new progressive rear shock, nerf bars, aluminum skid plate, all new switches, ram mount, wired for GPS, tall windshield, center stand.
Excellent dual sport that I patterned after a BMW GS. The bike itself has been well maintained using Mobile 1 motorcycle synthetic and dealer valve adjustment. It starts immediately and has a new spark plug. I've added a set of First Gear expandable saddlebags that have never been used. Top case is by Pelican, dust and water proof. A Scott-oiler eliminates chain maintenance, keeps it automatically oiled and clean, just the very occasional slack check. Has Givi front crash bars and Happy Trails rear bag racks which also serve as crash bars. Has a 12V power lead installed and a universal cell phone/gps mount. The seat is leather by Corbin. The bike has a low 12,352 miles. Great condition with no issues and has been problem free. Despite all the equipment I've never used the bike off-road. The very occasional gravel and graded dirt road only. Has nearly new Avon Distanzia tires front and rear. These work very well and are high mileage tires. Please note the Madstad windshield. This is completely adjustable without tools. I've used them on other bikes as well when buffeting was a problem. This is the best windshield I've found and you can ride all day in an open face helmet without any discomfort. The bike with accessories would cost over $8000 new. I believe my price is reasonable. Check the photos to satisfy yourself as to the condition of the bike. . Scammers need not call as I'm familiar with all the tricks. Clear NYS title in hand. The last photo explains why the bike is for sale...too many bikes, I need garage space, and I just bought a BMS GS Adventure.
This is a clean 2014 klr 650 new edition dual sport with roughly 2500 miles on it. No accidents, never been dropped and had its 500 mile break in service done. I will include with the price a dowco motorcycle cover and a black and green medium sized helmet which is not pictured but I will send if interested. I have an aftermarket Seargent seat on the bike and an amg battery in it with the quick charge connected to the terminals. I will include the stock seat as well.

Excellent condition. Bike is maintained/very clean. Great commuter bike. All stock. 4,800 miles on it. 99% of time bike was used on roads. In 2015 hardly used. This year it is off the road sitting in my basement. Needs to be serviced and new tires.
