Aftermarket exhaust pipe included (no charge) for a more 'raspy' sound. A little better mileage too. Between Kelly and NADA the Average Retail is $9,250.So my price is very reasonable. If you want a superb handling, short and long ride cycle, this is one of the best! It moves and handles like a crotch rocket, but with much more sophistication and comfort! Super solid on the interstate, no worries about crosswinds or semi buffeting. It really shines on a nice, winding two lane! Here are a couple of write-ups:Powerful, stylish and comfortable, the 2012 Kawasaki Concours™ is excellently outfitted for short rides or long distance trips. A design combining sport bike and touring motorcycle, the 2012 Kawasaki Concours™ features an aerodynamic and function fairing, electronically adjustable windshield and multiple lockable storage components. Constructed on a lightweight monocoque aluminum frame, the 2012 Kawasaki Concours™ motorcycle presents technology commonly associated with high performance two-wheeled vehicles. Fitted with a four-cylinder, 1,352 cc engine, variable valve timing, ram air induction and digital fuel injection allows the 2012 Kawasaki Concours™ to sail quickly down the highway. Insuring the rider maintains control of the 2012 Kawasaki Concours™ on the road, traction control, anti-lock braking system and Kawasaki Coactive-braking Technology is included. Presenting seating for two, the 2012 Kawasaki Concours™ comes with standard heated grips, a multi-function LCD digital display and the Kawasaki Intelligent Proximity Activation Starting System that securely immobilizes the motorcycle when not ridden. As previewed in 'Ultimate Motorcycle': It all begins with the Concours 14’s powerplant – a 1352cc- DOHC inline four. This is the same motor that powered pre-2012 ZX-14 superbikes, but is tuned for better low- and mid-range power. At the heart of the 2012 Concours 14’s engine is a Variable Valve Timing (VVT) system, which automatically alters camshaft profiles according to rpm to boost low-end and mid-range power without sacrificing top end. This, along with smooth fuel injection and ram-air induction provide the Kawasaki Concours 14 ABS with enough force for any type of sport-touring, from the most aggressive spirited rides to slower paces. Transmission: 6-SpeedThe chassis on the 2012 Kawasaki Concours ABS features a monocoque frame that cradles the engine from the top; this provides "massive stiffness along with excellent handling characteristics and a high degree of rider feedback." To further enhance handling, Tetra-Lever shaft drive utilizes a four-link design to offset the normal up and down mannerisms of shaft-drive system, offering a sport-bike like feel. And of course there’s the highly-advanced braking system, the K-ACT (Kawasaki Advanced Coactive-braking Technology), which offers two modes of linked ABS, and Kawasaki Traction Control, which can be switched off if the rider prefers.
