I am selling my 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 500 with 9258 miles*. Included with the bike will be a sissy bar with luggage rack, windshield, battery maintainer, Dowco cover, and floor jack for easy maintenance and storage. This is a great bike for a new rider that wants a bike they can learn on but not get bored of in six months. It's light (for a cruiser) and has good power (Kawasaki took the engine from the Ninja 500 sport bike and tuned it for more mid-range power) so it handles really well and can out-accelerate a lot of bigger cruisers. It also gets great fuel mileage and can handle highway riding just fine, making it a great option for commuters. I am the third owner of the bike and am selling because I bought a new motorcycle and need to make room in the garage. While I owned it I installed new Michelin Pilot Commander 2 tires front and rear (less than 1,100 miles on them) and new EBC front brake rotors. I also performed a very common exhaust mod for this bike to add a bit of volume -- I drilled two holes into each baffle. It sounds good and most importantly you can actually hear the bike at speed. . . it was way too quiet stock. The bike is also wired for a battery maintainer. Overall this is a very solid and honest example of a Vulcan 500. It's a great bike and I hope it finds its way to a good home. I'm asking $2700 for the bike with the extras (sissy bar/luggage rack, windshield, battery maintainer, Dowco cover, and floor jack.) Test rides are welcome as long as you put $2700 in my hand and don't mind me taking a picture of your driver license with valid motorcycle endorsement before the ride. I have the title to the bike free and clear. Any transaction will be completed in cash (no payment plans) with buyer and seller both retaining a bill of sale. Delivery assistance: If you're a new rider and don't feel comfortable riding home, I can bring the bike to you (after completing the sale) for no charge if you live within a reasonable distance of me (let's call it a 20-mile radius.) *mileage may increase from the time of this posting.
