This bike was constructed with experienced riders in mind, as it is solidly built and weighs in at a 750 pounds dry, with a wheelbase of 67.5 inches. Furthermore, a 27.3-inch seat height gives the driver a clear view of the open road, while detachable passenger seating allows a companion to hop on the motorcycle and come along for a ride. While the 2005 Honda VTX's large frame gives it a powerful presence, the bike's suspension and steering allow for an easy ride on the road. The bike comes equipped with a 17955cc, V-Twin, SOHC engine, with 3.98 x 4.41 inches of bore and stroke, and a 9:1 compression ratio, all of which helps create the VTX 1800's 106 bhp horsepower and 120 lb-ft of torque. This motorcycle also has an electric starter, while a five-speed manual transmission allows riders to cruise in and out of traffic at speeds most comfortable to them. Finally, beyond its standard specifications, the 2005 Honda VTX 1800S also comes with a number of additional bodywork and instrumentation features.
