I bought this bike and a Honda Shadow few years ago, so my son and I could ride together once he graduated from high school. We had a great time riding together and took many memorable road trips. The Shadow has since bitten the dust and the son has moved out of state. This is a wonderful bike but I am not a solo rider. Rather than putting a few miles on it season after season, I am selling it. If you want a large bike that is powerful, comfortable and well balanced, the Valkyrie is it - it is made for the open road. The bike was built in the USA in Marysville, Ohio. Since the bike was released in 1999; that means it has probably been ridden for at least 15 years. There are bound to be minor scratches and dings on the bike, but there is nothing so large or bad that it is really noticeable. There is no rust, that I have ever noticed, and it has been well cared for its entire life. This bike was featured in the Valkyrie Riders Cruiser Club’s 2012 calendar (November). If you have a particular concern/pet peeve for a specific spot that is not already included in the picture folio included with the ad, let me know and I will take a picture of that spot. I know I am at least the second owner, there may have been more – but I have no way of knowing and she won’t talk. Extras… Starting from the front of the bike and walking around it…Genuine Valkyrie bra on the nose of the bike, protects it (pix with and braless).Short tinted windshield (also comes with tall windshield)Both wheels are powder coated. Gives bike a less over chromed more muscled look.Avon tires have few miles on them.Pods in the front hold halogen lights, to put more light on the road at night.Highway pegs, adjustableAdjustable air deflectors, helps direct airflow on/away from the rider. Both valve covers are powder coated. Gives bike a less over chromed more muscled look.Cup holder (I laughed when I saw one but then I got one and realized how handy they are for all sorts of stuff).Tank pocket.MP3 player cable that ties in with on board sound system.Handle bar ball mount for GPS or camera.TomTom GPS with mounting frame.Seat is a genuine Corbin seat with the Valkyire logo, beyond rare. Driver’s seat back can be adjusted.New battery in 2014Adjustable suspension (adjustment tool included). The prior owner said the bike was lowered 1”, but I have no way of telling/knowing. I am 5’11 with a 32” inseam and when stopped I can remain seated with both feet flat on the ground. Platform style foot rests for passenger versus pegs.Rear stereo speakersChrome guards around saddle bags and aft end of bike.Tie down rack on top of saddle bags.Custom made, soft sided, lift out saddle bag inserts. Great for quick unloading.Lighted license plate frame.Tie down rack on top of trunk.Dual tall antennas for the radio/CB.Sirrius/XM satellite receiver tied into on board sound system.Mechanical cruise control. In front right pod, power receptacle (used to be known as cigarette lighters)Does not include CB mic or Intercom system. Plugs for both are still on the bike and the CB still appears to be functional within the radio, but I have no way of knowing for sure. Included but off the bike: Battery trickle chargerXL Rain suit.Soft cover for bike.3XL armoured leather jacketThe usual box of uncategorized bits and pieces that seems to accumulate with a bike. Valks are a lot of fun to ride and the 6 cylinder 1520cc motor will run with the biggest and best bikes out there and last for 300,000+ miles if maintained properly. No tire kickers and no test rides without full purchase price in cash in my hand!
