One owner, one of a kind, highly optioned 1997 Valkyrie. 31,857 miles. The color is the one-year-only Pearl Yellow and Black with Orange pinstripe. (They offered the yellow and black again in 2000, but with a silver stripe.) This color combination was only available on the standard model, so I had to build my own Valkyrie Tourer. I did so using only the highest quality parts available at the time. Those parts include: Custom, color matched fiberglass saddle bags (I believe by Champion). Recurve windshield, Progressive rear shocks, Corbin seats with dual backrests, Cobra rider and passenger floorboards, Cobra light bar, chrome front fender guard, radiator cap, horn cover, radiator hose, oil filter cover, side covers, engine gap block-off plate, drive shaft cover, and basically every chrome cover and shield they ever put in a catalog! Including the very rare chrome radiator cover with dragon. I’ll also include the special order, color-matched Arai helmet in XL, recently completely rebuilt with all new padding and interior surfaces. This bike has been meticulously cared for, always garaged, rarely ridden in the rain, and comes with very complete maintenance records. Tires are Metzeler ME880 Marathons in excellent shape with at least 80% tread life remaining. Bike has never been laid down, never repainted or touched up. The one ¼” gap in pin striping on the right side saddle bag is the only visible paint flaw on the bike. This bike is truly a special, one of one, unique and beautiful machine. Draws attention and comments everywhere we go. It has been my primary bike since new and we’ve traveled 31,857 trouble free miles together. I keep it stored connected to a battery tender, and it always starts right up, no matter how long it’s been since the last ride. In the past few years, I’ve started riding a sport-tourer, and the rides just are not nearly regular enough to justify keeping the mighty Valkyrie around. I’m looking for someone who will appreciate it and ride it the way it is meant to be ridden. For information, contact [email protected] *The bike is also available for sale locally. I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
