2016 Honda NC700X, What do you do with a bike as revolutionary as the class-leading Honda NC700X? How about make it even better, with a list of updates and improvements that put it even further out in front? The best parts haven’t changed: During the week the NC700X is an awesome commuter, while on the weekend it lets you go exploring in the country, or carve up a twisty canyon road. Its parallel-twin engine offers a generous helping of useable torque, and the seating position makes sense for a ride around the block or around your favorite continent. So what’s new? How about a larger windscreen for better weather protection; new, tougher-looking bodywork; a new front-brake caliper; and a new pentagonal muffler for a sharper look and a sound you’re bound to love. The new luggage compartment holds even more, a full 22 liters, and comes with a new “utility rail” and a storage hook inside the lid. Available in two versions—the conventional six-speed, manual-clutch transmission remains one choice, while a second version is available with an updated version of Honda’s exclusive automatic Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT). Even the tires are easier to service, thanks to new “L”-shaped valve stems.Powerhouse TwinThe NC700X’s 670cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine produces tons of torque and enough power for easy two-up cruising. But it's thrifty, too—the standard transmission version has an estimated fuel economy of 64 MPG. (Honda's fuel economy estimates are based on EPA exhaust emission measurement test procedures and are intended for comparison purposes only. Your actual mileage will vary depending on how you ride, how you maintain your vehicle, weather, road conditions, tire pressure, installation of accessories, cargo, rider and passenger weight, and other factors.)New, Larger WindscreenComfortable over a wide range of speeds, the NC700X’s upright seating position gives you a great view in traffic and is a huge contributor to this bike’s overall capability. A new, larger windscreen for 2016 makes the cockpit even more comfortable.Integrated Storage CompartmentIn the real world, we need to carry more than just a cell phone and a credit card. That’s why the NC700X offers an integrated compartment that’s even bigger in 2016, now holding a full 22 liters and featuring a new storage hook and a utility rail.Automatic Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT)Want to know more details about Honda's Automatic Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT)? Here's a page that offers riding reviews, product overviews and a DCT Q&A. New for 2016: the NC700X now comes with our third-generation DCT with new settings and three choices in the “S” mode.ENGINEEngine Type670cc liquid-cooled parallel-twinBore And Stroke73mm x 80mmInductionPGM-FI, 36mm throttle bodyIgnitionDigital transistorized with electronic advanceCompression Ratio10.7:1Valve TrainSOHC; four valves per cylinder DRIVE TRAIN

I had planned to keep this wonderful bike for 100,000 mile and she has been ridden and maintained as such. Health issues force this sale. With 7,879 actual miles I've just completed her fourth oil change. The bike is flawless. About a grand in Honda factory accessories: rear carrier, tall wind screen, hard saddle bags. This NC has not had the heck run out of it like so many out there. Some call it a commuter bike, it may be. Some call it an "adventure" bike. I don't know about that. But it is a perfect day tripper and middle distance tourer. (i've owned 3 Moto Guzzis with combimed 300k miles) She carrys all the gear you'd ever want. Gets ridiculous mileage and is very easy to maneuver fully loaded at gas stations, rest areas and scenic stops. (believe me, a lot of bikes out there are a major pain in close quarters or on loose ground when fully loaded...I've been riding for over 40 years and have seen way too many slow speed or no speed dumps...will never happen with this bike) Please call or email questions. I will respond  as soon as I can. The Honda NC700X is a good motorcycle and this NC is in outstanding condition. You won't be disappointed. Oh, yes...I hate it when guys post pics of their bikes with people in the photo. Well the one pic is me leaving Indiana last September, a great photo of the Honda so here it is.
