Starting in 2005, the fuel pump on the 1800 was moved to the outside of the fuel tank which increased the fuel capacity to 5.3gal = longer riding without fear of running out of gas. The 1800's also have linked braking (the rear brake pedal actuates 1 of the 3 caliper pistons on the front wheel), dual front brake rotors (the 1300's have only 1 front brake rotor), and a hydraulic clutch versus the 1300's cable actuated clutch.
