Honda’s CFR450R is the nuclear option in the motocross wars. Light, powerful, nimble, responsive, it offers the most performance and refinement of any bike in its class. For 2016, we’ve made some fine-tuning changes that make it a little better, but the big features that separate it from the pack remain. For example, there’s the CRF450R’s Engine Mode Select button that lets you choose between three settings (Standard, Smooth and Aggressive), just by pushing a handlebar-mounted button. Use that in conjunction with our available HRC Fuel Injection Setting Tool, and it’s easier than ever to adjust your engine’s output for specific track conditions.Next, the CRF450R's revolutionary KYB Air Fork features both high- and low-speed compression and rebound damping, letting you dial in the CRF450R's suspension in much quicker.Details like a fork that’s five millimeters longer this year and a new shock link help make the CRF450R even more stable. There’s even a new chain roller to help. All in all, you have everything you need to put you up front, from the second the start gate drops to when the checkered flag falls.
Open-class motocross might as well be called the unlimited class. There's no room for anything but the best here, and the best keep getting better and better every year. Well, have no fear, because the all-new 2017 Honda CRF450R is here. Major improvements everywhere, especially to the engine's increased power and peak torque, help drive you to the front of the pack. There's even an optional electric starter this year. And when you're in the lead in the first turn with an empty track in front of you, it's a whole new kind of race.

Part of an entire engine overhaul for 2017, the new downdraft intake tract and FI body help and increase both power and fuel-metering precision. It's part of the reason the CRF450R offers such explosive power and massive torque, especially out of the starting gate and in the critical first 100 feet of the race to the first turn
2013 Honda CRF450R, 2013 Honda CRF450F w/ plenty of extras including red anodized wheels! - Winning Is Everything. Everyone is going to remember 2013 as the year Honda took the 450 class and blew it WIDE open with the totally redesigned CRF450R. Huge changes are going to jump out at you. First is the CRF450R?s all-new air-fork front suspension. Nearly two pounds lighter than a coil-spring fork, it offers easier adjustment, less internal friction, and even better handling. Next, an all-new twin-spar aluminum frame. You?ll see some big changes in the steering-head area. That?s because the frame is designed specifically to work with the new fork. Check out the CRF450R?s short radical new twin exhaust. The system moves the mufflers in way closer to the bike?s center of mass. They?re super short and compact, and work in perfect concert with the 2013 model?s new bodywork to make this the most flickable CRF450R ever! In fact, everywhere you look you?re going to see upgrades this year: The engine gets a new piston shape, porting, and valve timing, along with more compression for more power. The radiators are smaller and flow more air. The clutch is totally redesigned with six springs for better feel at the lever. Even the footpegs and tires get the Honda touch. Without a doubt, the 2013 CRF450R is the most dialed-in bike and still the lightest weight in its class. Do your part, and you?re going to be a permanent fixture on the podium with this one.
