The advanced engine designs provide broad, forgiving power delivery, and superior traction in slippery conditions making them easy to ride. Four-strokes also offers superior engine braking making them particularly well suited to negotiating extreme, off-road technical sections. These advantages are even more noticeable in smaller engine displacements. Until recently however, smaller riders had to settle for either high-performance 2-strokes or low-performance 4-strokes. The CRF150R changed all that, offering the same advanced Unicam engine design as Honda?s championship winning CRF250R and CRF450R motocrossers, in a full-blown MX-spec chassis, complete with inverted Showa forks, disc brakes and aluminum swing-arm.
