Heres a 1979 Honda CBX 6 cyl. All original condition. Ran great and shifted fine. Left the petcock on a few months and tried to start it up. It locked up with fuel in some of the cylinders. I kept trying to start it and it started and then developed a knock. looks like with the kickstand down and leaning to the left it can drain gas into #1 cylinder, which had too much fuel in the cyl when it started and bent the rod. A Hydraulic condition. Too bad. That's what I have and that's what happened to it. I only ran it for about 20 sec after I heard the noise. I bought a set of rods for a 1979 and I just don't have the time to fix it. Good price to get a CBX with a little engine work that hopefully you can do yourself. These rods will unbolt from the crank without splitting the crankshaft so its really not too bad. Sold as is. Call 847-385-8268 for more info
Great condition naked 1982 CBX with 1981 body work on it. Good tires, good chain and sprockets, paint is in very good condition with a couple light scratches on the tank and a couple on the front fender, Inside of gas tank is very clean, runs great, idles at 800 rpm, brakes work as they should, air suspension holds air and no issues with it. Bike shifts through the gears as it should with no issues. This bike needs nothing but a new owner. 35,000 miles, everything on the bike works as it should. This is a very nice CBX and I have it priced to sell. Please remember this bike is 35 years old even though it does not look it. No joy rides. This low mileage bike is in excellent unrestored condition. It has never been dropped. Everything is original except for the exhaust pipes, seat and tires. It came with the exhaust pipes when I bought it. I replaced the seat for comfort and to lower the center of gravity. The tires are about 3 years old but have few miles.
