1973 Honda CB500 Four. Great condition barn find. Only 3,100 MILES! All original parts and paint a true collectors bike. I bought it hoping for a cool vintage bike as a commuter. I have just started riding this year and have found it not to be quite what I was looking for. I have put about 30 miles on it but before that it was stored since 1975. I don't know much but I believe it may need the gas tank cleaned out and some fresh gas. It has a brand new battery, air filter gas lines. Probably in need of an oil change.
I have a 1972 Honda CB500 Four, if I didn't need the money, I wouldn't be selling it. Here are the issues: I believe it needs a shift rod, the clutch lever isn't returning and I've put a new cable on it, as well as trying an original cable from a salvage bike. So it will have to be trailered. Shift rods I've seen on eBay for $12 to $20 so not that expensive to fix. It starts, and runs, although it is a cold natured mistress, so it takes some caressing if you let it sit for a couple days. There is a scratch in the paint right near the seat, that was there when I got it, but you really don't notice it unless you look for it. Everything else I believe is in working order, and it's looks amazing. It would make someone a really nice bike to ride around town, and it's not bad on the highway either. It will definitely keep up with higher CC bikes. It would also be a nice addition to a collection. I'd love to see her go to a nice home, with someone who will love her.
