I'm selling my 1978 Hodaka 250 SL 2-stroke. If you found this then I'm certain you know what this is. This is the last year for Hodaka. It has a clean and clear title. It is a 2 or 3 kicks when cold kind of bike. It has brand new tires. It's only significant flaws are it could use turn signals and it shifts nice but I struggle finding 5th gear. 5th is temperamental. It's not a restored bike, it's just been taken care of but ridden occasionally for about the past 37 years. This is a really neat vintage enduro that I hope finds a really good home. I'm asking $1400 but feel free to make an offer. Will not ship. Buyer must pick up. If your interested, your welcome to come take a look and see how it runs.

1973 Hodaka Wombat, road legal version. Has turn signals, rear brake light etc. Starts always on the first or second kick and runs good. Has a top speed of 55 MPH due to the low gearing, back in the day these were much more dirt oriented than street riding hence the low gearing. Its in great condition considering its age. You will definitely turns some heads with this bike thats for sure, its nostalgic just to hear it running. My first bike ever was a Hodaka, I bought this one a while back for sentimental value, taught my boy how to ride on it just around our property. Its a small, light bike but it is tall for its size and can be ridden by a full size adult. Im 6' 1" and I can ride it easily. It has now about 325 miles on it, I believe that to be correct, it has the original Nitto tires on it with lots of tread remaining, and they are not dryrotted at all. The mileage may increase slightly as I really just started riding it and decided to register it for the street recently, previously since owning it I just used the bike as a conversation piece or to ride it around my small property (hence the low mileage, previous owner never registered it at all), as I stated above a Hodaka was my first bike ever back in the 80's and they are kinda rare anymore. I put some new parts on it recently to make it reliable since alot of the consumeable ignition and fuel components were 40+ years old. Only problem with the bike is now and then the turn signals and taillight are dim, its probably a ground issue or it is a 6v electrical system though, I guess thats to be expected. Anyone interested is welcome to come see the bike in person in Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania, and I encourage that so you know what you are buying. I am selling the bike AS IS of course. Any questions, just ask.
