The slotted chrome disc rear wheel wears a wide tire, nicely balancing out the swept-back handlebar and pullback riser. Power is big and immediate, with the rubber-mounted, chrome-covered Evolution engine. The high-compression, high-flow heads and performance cams get you going. The 4.5-gallon tank keeps you going longer. Just like the custom theme. Forward foot controls. Bullet headlight. And a brand-new optional Profile Laced wheel, shown here. Since then, the Sportster has changed, but it?s never forgotten its purpose. If you need to get reacquainted with what that is, we offer the new, rip-roaring Sportster 1200 Roadster. It starts with a rubber-mounted Evolution engine, in silver and black powder-coat. It?s stronger and quicker, thanks to high-compression, high-flow heads and performance cams. Every trip through the gears is pure excitement. The frame retains the fabled XL agility, so winding roads are more like asphalt playgrounds. We finished with a wide polished bar, aggressive two-up seat, tach with a 6000 RPM redline and classic two-tone tank with vintage graphics. Yet again, the Sportster makes you smile. This one is for those wanting more of that legend. The all-new 1200 Custom. It's a unique blend of raw power and XL style, taken full-bore. You'll immediately notice the tank. It's a bigger, low-profile 4.5-gallon design that boosts the custom look and holds more juice so you stop less. Notice the bigger fuel cap, as well as the side profile that pays homage to classic Sportster tanks. The bike is lower, thanks to a new seat and frame. We widened the rear tire. There's a new swept-back handlebar and riser that looks and feels sweet. Then we went big with power, with a redesigned Evolution engine. We gave it performance cams and high-compression, high-flow cylinder heads. The result is sizable gains in torque and horsepower. So much, we had to push the redline up to 6000 RPM.
