Up for auction today is my beautiful 1996 Harley Sportster XL.I would never sell this bike except for the fact that I lost my job and still have to pay the bills and mortgage.I'm a professional mechanic and I've always kept the bike in perfect running condition.This is as reliable as they come,just hop on it and ride.The oil has been changed(with genuine Harley oil)every five hundred miles.After sitting for two and a half months in my garage last winter I choked it hit the throttle a couple of times and it started right up.Recent repairs include a new voltage regulator and battery,as well as front tire(about two hundred miles on it)and routine maintenance..This is not your average Sportster.The seat is from a 2011 Sportster.It has a 3 gallon extra wide(fat boy style)fuel tank.High performance ignition system,Kurklyn air filter/houseing assembly,competition cycle exhaust which has a very nice sound to it.The rear wheel is a solid with chrome trim and alloy center.The front wheel is oe Sportster but has been replaced with a newer one.Not shown on the bike currently but I do have a pair of leather saddle bags that go with it.One exhaust pipe has some chrome fadeing,not bad but can be rechromed in the off season.The pipe is solid.The only other defect in this bike is that I replaced the front brake pads and didn't clip them properly into the caliper so they rattle at idle.I will have them replaced for the new owner.Other than that the bike has ZERO defectsFor me I've enjoyed the time that I have had it.Go anywhere,do anything with no worry's.It's an 883 but it is quick.I do not know if it has been punched out to a 1200 or not.Please email me with any questions that you may have.I will be sure to get back to you quickly.Thank You for looking at and considering my auction.
