This is a one-owner 2009 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic in Vivid Black and is 6-speed and Fuel Injected and has lots of chrome. This bike has always been garaged and never been down. You won't find a scratch, dent, smudge, or blemish. It only has 22,000 well taken care of miles and has many Harley-Davidson accessories listed below. The black leather bags look real good and are clean and have retained their shape real well. The engines on all the late model Softail series are counter-balanced (96B) eliminating 99% of the vibration and delivering an extremely smooth ride. The Heritage Softail Classic receives a number of other, more-subtle styling changes and new components that shift this popular model in a new, retro direction for 2009. The beefy FL front end features a front fender and chrome nacelle with clean new styling cues, while taller handlebars change the rider's profile. The fuel tank has new glass-filled, 3-D badges and is topped with a classic "Cat Eye" console and matching retro speedometer face. Half-moon rider footboards and a large, oval foot brake pad also nod to the past. The passenger seat and backrest have been revised for more comfort, while the sissy bar has new trim that matches the new two-tone leather console panel. The 2009 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic sports a full-sized Lexan windshield, wide whitewall tires, and sculpted full-coverage fenders. Driver amenities include half-moon rider footboards, studded leather saddlebags and seat, shorty exhaust, and of course, a rigid-mounted Twin Cam 96B V-twin engine. The hardest thing not to notice about the 2009 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic is the yards of chrome work that just seem to drip from every surface, but most particularly the engine. If there ever was a motorcycle that showed off its mill better than the 2009 Harley Davidson heritage Softail Classic, I have yet to see it in person. The 96B engine is plenty powerful, as well, though, producing 86 lb./ft. of torque at just 3,200 rpm, and yet delivering 54 miles per gallon highway fuel economy, and 35 miles per gallon in the city, though why anyone would subject this bike to city driving when it is so clearly meant for country roads is a mystery. Electronic sequential Port Fuel Injection helps to provide the economy numbers, as does a six-speed transmission driving the rear wheel via a belt final drive. Information about the 2009 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic is provided to the rider via a chrome finish, "Cat Eye" console that provides information such as speed, clock, dual trip meter, odometer, low fuel warning light and countdown feature, low oil pressure indicator light, engine diagnostic readout, and transmission indicator light.
