1995 Harley FLHR Road King..Beautiful Classic. 2nd adult owner, 47K original miles. 80ci carb motor, 5 sp. This bike was a trade in at a local Indian dealer. It was 100% stock including new Harley tires and spark plugs. It was originally purchased and maintained by Downtown HD. Still has the original Boom pipes installed in 1995. I have a degree in HD so I checked the frame, no road rash on the bottom of the frame, took it for a ride, ran perfectly. Had the dealer pull the plugs and both had nice tan insulators. So I bought it 2 years ago. After owning 3 other Harley’s in the last 12 years I have grown to love these old EVO bikes. Simple, reliable, fast and easy to work on and get parts for. No ECU, no sensors, no timing chain, no problems and no heat blasting from the engine. I wanted to give it some tasteful upgrades so it got a new LePera leather seat and Klockwerks flare windshield. Next was lowering the bike 1 1/2” with Progressive suspension, installing 2” Sweeper handlebars and while that was apart it got a new headlight and black Rivco mirrors with LED turn signal that flash forward and in the mirror, all wired internally in the bars. Topped that off with new Avon grips and new braided clutch cable. Had the carb cleaned and intake & exhaust gaskets checked. New oil and filter. All this work was done by my friends at R&R American Cycle. When they were finished they took it for a ride and said “I”d ride that bike anywhere”. The bike has the original black paint with red pin stripes, still very nice, a couple of paint rub marks on one corner of the hard bag. There are no leaks and no problems. My insurance company considers is a Classic so full coverage is very inexpensive. Selling because i am now a retired Boeing engineer and its time to downsize and move.
