The day we built this one, the world officially became a better place. The Electra Glide® Classic was designed on the premise that the long haul shouldn’t have to feel like one. We started with pure Harley-Davidson styling, then added on all the necessities for putting on big miles. Like hard bags and a Tour-Pak® luggage box, 40-watts-per-channel sound with standard CD, big floorboards and a comfort-stitch saddle with passenger backrest. We wanted every inch of the ride to be perfect. So we gave it an air-adjustable suspension, triple-disc brakes, and a fork-mounted batwing fairing complete with all the instruments. New for 2013, the Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight model comes with optional Hard Candy Custom™ paint, a large metal flake paint finish that recalls the iconic styling of 1970s custom bikes, and offers blazing color showing through a deep, rich finish. The Forty-Eight model also has an authentic peanut tank which first appeared on Harley-Davidson back in 1948 (its name origin) and has been a defining Sportster feature ever since. The front end of the bike looks beefy with its fat MT90 tire. The Harley Sportster Forty-Eight model look is enhanced with the lowered front and rear suspension.
