1999 Harley-Davidson Fxr 3, 1999 CVO FXR3 Superglide. Like new condition. 16,400 miles. Emerald Green Metallic with green flames on tank (factory paint job). CVO package includes every available factory option offered for this model. There is nothing left on the bike that can be chrome plated. Cost $23,000 new in 1999. Bike is 100% original except for Vance & Hines Straight Shot staggered dual exhaust and Factory Thunderstar alloy wheels have been rechromed. If you are not familiar with the FXR3, GOOGLE it and you will find everything you could possibly want to know. FXR Superglides were introduced in 1981 to participate in the sportier light cruiser segment of the market that the Japanese manufacturers were beginning to dominate. Harley began using Dyna chassis for Superglides in 1992 because they could be built more cheaply on robot assembly lines. The FXR chassis is more compact and rigid but must be hand welded in a frame jig. The FXR's handle more precisely and are the preferred frame for custom and performance builds but are too expensive for high volume production models. This model (1999) is a "Retro model" and was designed by Willie G. Davidson himself for the first year of the CVO program and only 900 were produced, 450 in green and 450 in blue. Each dealership was allocated one of each color. Engine is 80 cu in evo with carb (Factory Original Configuration). Bike is freshly serviced with new tires. $5,000.00
