Gorgeous 2006 35th Anniversary Super Superglide in great shape. #977 of 3500. Bike has never been dropped. Some chrome pitting on wheels and surface rust on spokes and typical oxidation but no eye sores. One small paint chip on tank I started to touch up on right side and also a chip off the side of the back fender (see pics). Original owner was a retired airline pilot who bought for his wife a retired nurse and also a pilot. They didn't add chrome "bling" to the bike but rather added features for safety and comfort. They have two planes of their own they house and maintain so it was good to know they were up on maintenance. They had a Harley Reduced Reach seat on it when I bought it and I sold it and bought a Harley touring seat that came off a new Harley Switchback (maybe Harley's standard touring seat). There are handle bar risers, crash bar, strobbing front light in daylight, yellow rear turn signals changed to red, back rest, matching 70's #1 on saddle bags (hard lined sides and bottom, and bolted on), quick detach windshield with glasses/wallet/phone pouch; and comes with auto charger. Also the previous owner said they added the Vance and Hinds exhaust after a lady at a stop light said they should have just bought a Honda with that puny sound. I don't have the original pipes or seat. I bought it a year ago with 8k miles and put 3k myself. 2 reasons I am selling: 1., need money to help pay off my son's truck and 2, I found a Softail Custom dirt cheap that will satisfy my need to ride. Before selling, in Sept/15 (this month) I had the inner primary bearing and race changed. I believe the 2006 suffered with this problem and maybe had recalls. I started hearing a "whirring" sound when clutch was released which I thought didn't sound right. Sure enough Harley new exactly what it was and I got a local 30 year mechanic to do the job with all Harley parts and now she should be fixed for good (got parts list and prices). FYI, Harley wanted $460 for complete job, (not too bad). Just in case you heard of this problem and were concerned well its taken care of. The mechanic that fixed it said it is the best shifting Harley he has ever ridden. Both the previous owner and myself kept in a closed garage and mine is air conditioned. I am 50 years old and never pushed it, the previous rider was an older careful woman. Starts always without hesitation and with new tires its ready to cross the country. That being said the bike is not cosmetically new. There is chrome oxidation on the mirrors and on the windshield detach brackets. Since the front shocks were oxidized when I bought it, I stripped the clear coat and polished the aluminum and it looks better and has held up. I clean the bike and spokes meticulously but more time brings better results. I am sure you don't want to buy without talking to me in person. My number is 985-233-6627; call or text anytime. I have the title in hand under my name. Its really a great bike.
