In my opinion, this bike looks closer to 2 years old than it does 12. Paint is glossy. Chrome is in great shape. Seat is pristine. Engine looks, runs and sounds great. Transmission shifts smoothly. No leaks, no smoke, no funny noises. Tires are in good condition. Battery is brand new and includes lead for Battery Tender (tender not included). All turn signals, lights and switches work as they should. It really needs nothing and is ready to ride. I always strive to point out any and every flaw in things I sell, so buyer will know what he/she is getting. In doing so, I'm probably making everything seem WAAAAYYYYY worse than it is, but I want buyer to have no surprises but pleasant ones. The title features the remark "Rebuilt Salvage - Loss Unknown". Whatever caused it to be a previous salvage has been totally remedied. There is no evidence of a prior accident at all. No frame damage, no cosmetic damage - nothing. The only flaws it has are very, very minor. There are a couple of small marks on the sides of the rear fender where it was rubbed when installing the passenger back rest. They are about 1/4 the size of a pencil eraser and could easily be touched up if they bothered you. They are pretty hard to see, so they haven't bothered me enough to touch them up. There is some paint missing on the rivet areas of the front fender (common here - fender flexes and cracks paint over rivets). These are down by the fork tubes, and not very visible. The entire rest of the fender is glossy and without any sort of scratch or flaw. There is a small scuff on the wide part of the Thunder Header about halfway before the end, about the size of a nickel. The only chrome that shows any wear at all is the ring around the outer edge of the end of the exhaust pipe. You can see from the pictures that this is a really nice bike that has been stored indoors it's entire life and has been cared for. I took this bike out for a ride this morning and it was a joy to ride. Smooth power. Good rumble but not too loud. Everything was just right. If you can get past the remark on the title, knowing it is in excellent condition, you'll have a bike you'll be proud to ride at a fraction of the price of one without the "rebuilt" designation.

I purchased this from an insurance auction with the intention of fixing it up and riding it. I won several bikes at the same auction and don't have time to work on all of them. I do have most of the items needed to bring this bike back to its glory days and will include them with the purchase. See notes below. The good:Started right up up as soon as I turned the key (included) and hit the starter buttonTires are in great shapeLow milesFuel Injected88 cubic Inch Twin Cam6 Speed TransmissionChrome, fins and cases on both sides of motor look great.No frame damageAll electric works properlyWheels in good shapeI am including replacements for most of the damaged parts with this saleI am not a mechanic, so I can't judge the condition of motor. Since it has no brakes, I was unable to ride it to verify transmission and motor performance. It did not smoke, but did pop a little while sitting with the motor running. I'm thinking it may have an exhaust leak since pipes are where the bike took the hit when laid down. The bad:Here's a list of what I've found damaged on the bike. This list should not be considered 100% complete, as I haven't studied the bike nor have I taken anything apart.Both slip ons have rash on the outside edges. I have a set of new-condition Screaming Eagle pipes that have been powdercoated with high temp coating (black) that I will include with sale.Heat shield on front pipe has a dent in it. Powdercoated pipes have good shields.Rear brake pedal, driver's peg and driver's highway pegs are rashed on the outside edges. I have a new condition brake pedal I will include with sale.Linkage for rear brake is broken where it attaches to brake pedal. I have a new condition link I will include with sale.Front brake lever missing and front brake reservoir is broken where lever should attach. I have a replacement reservoir and lever I will include with sale.Idle and Throttle cable rashed but are working properly. I have a replacement set of cables I will include with sale.Right rear turn signal is rashed on outside chrome edge but lens is good.Speedo bracket is rashed. I have a new bracket I will include with sale.Decorative trim on right side battery box is missingSmall (dime sized) tear in seatTank has several dents in it. Cosmetic damage only.Right mirror is cracked.
