1998 H-D 95th Anniversary FXDWG Custom Dyna motorcycles are the performance leaders amongst Harley's "big twins." They combine a Sportster front end with their own unique chassis. Dyna’s are the lightest, best handling and most versatile of the big twins. Their relatively light weight makes them a natural choice as the basis for a hot rod bike. The current Dyna chassis was first introduced in 1991 with a limited-production FXDB Sturgis model. The FXDWG was first introduced in 1996 and remained relatively unchanged until 2006. This particular example is an anniversary model with all of the appropriate 95th Anniversary badges. Not only that but it is a two owner bike that has been meticulously cared for since day one. It currently has 24,298 miles. The engine was completely rebuilt in 2002 at which time it had 20,411 miles. The rebuild brought it form 80 inches up to 88 and it is currently putting out 90 horsepower with even more torque. During the rebuild it received Wiseco high compression pistons and rings, an Andrews 72 cam, a large valve kit, a Crane ignition and the heads were ported and polished. It is fed via a Mikuni carb that’s mated to a K&N air filter and sounds just plain nasty ripping through its custom Bub’s exhaust. It was last serviced at 22,969 in 2012 at which time it received all new fluids, filters, brakes and a rear tire. Not only that but it also has thousands of dollars worth of upgrades on the bike that really set this apart from the crowd. Upgrades included the H-D leather saddle bags, quick release H-D windshield, custom billet rims, billet forward controls, luggage rack, tall sissy bar, luggage rack, Live to Ride primary covers & mirrors, chrome front end, axle covers, steel braided cable & lines, chrome upper & lower belts guards, custom levers with tassels as well as custom pegs, pedals and grips. In case that isn’t enough you will also find a locking gas cap and a fitted all weather cover. Between the engine work, servicing and all of the upgrades on this bike well over $10,000 has been spent to make her what she is today.
