1977 XLT 1000 Sportster. Rare Touring Edition. Frame and Engine Numbers match. Runs good. S&S carburetor, Cycle Electric generator, new Progressive shocks, new wiring harness from JP Cycles, frame mount oil cooler, new Biltwell tracker bars with risers, dual exhaust installed (I have the original handlebars and 2-into-1 exhaust). All side case bolts have been upgraded to hex-heads by Colony. Everything else is pretty much original or OEM parts. I believe the original color was Birch White, it was painted black way before I purchased it. Yes, that is the original superglide gas tank that was used for the XLTs in 1977 & 1978. The metal emblems are from a late model superglide. The freedom eagle oil tank decal is a reproduction. Only 5820 miles (yes that's accurate). Originally a Florida bike, brought to California by a Marine and stored for 10+ years. I bought the bike in 2012, got it back in the DMV system. All the paperwork is clean and title is in my name. Any and all manuals, parts and accessories I have in the garage go with the bike.

Iron Head runs great. Title in hand including current registration. Has new tires, brand new paughco goose-neck up sweep exhaust, new retro air cleaner, hard tailed, extra quart oil bag, new simplified wiring job. No tire kickers or low ballers. Will consider trade but it must be something cool; slammed bug, baja bug, vw bus, other motorcycles, etc. If your looking for a paint job, I have a painter but it will cost extra.

Rare 1977 XLT 1000 Sportster, Touring Edition. Non-molested survivor. Frame and Engine Numbers match. I spent a couple years slowly restoring this bike. Almost all OEM; exceptions being the S&S carburetor, Cycle Electric generator, Progressive shocks and a few other subtle items like new aftermarket wiring harness from JP Cycles and frame mount oil cooler. Currently has Biltwell tracker bars with risers and dual exhaust, but I have the original handlebars and the 2 into 1 exhaust. I do not have an the original windshield. I just cleaned up the heads a few hundred miles ago and the cylinders look great. I'm still running a points and condenser ignition and the original style timing chain tensioner. All case bolts have been upgraded to hex-heads from Colony.Only 5816 miles (yes that's accurate). She was originally a Florida bike. She was brought to California by a Marine and stored for 10 years. I bought her in 2012 and got her back in the DMV system and all the paperwork is clean and title is in my name. I have pics of her wearing all three different exhaust pipes, email me for more pics.
