1993 Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 ANNIVERSARY EDITION, This is a truly collectible Harley Davidson 1200 Sportster. I purchased this new in Brockton, MA. In Feb. 1993. It is bike number 731 of 1800, 90th Anniversary Edition Sportsters, that Harley produced in 1993. Very few of these are left in the original condition. Only changes to the bike from stock are the kuryakin foot pegs and Harley Screaming Eagle Turnout mufflers. It has the original Harley Sportster peanut gas tank, the 2.25 gal size. The seat was an option that year, as a second passenger seat, as was the chrome rack and the slide on bag. The rear of the high back seat carries a 90th emblem as well. The front of the high back seat has a very nice embroidered Harley Eagle done in silver. The bike has less than 3600 miles on it. That is correct, three thousand six hundred miles. In 1993, for the Anniversary Edition Harleys, they only made a limited amount of each model. This is in contrast to 2003 when every model they made, was an Anniversary Edition. The 1993's were only available in one color combo and only as shown. The bike has only been out in the sun during the miles that are on it. It was in rain only once, got into a downpour that lasted about twenty five miles. It was in dry storage in Mass. for five years, and also in storage in Texas for eight years. It has been here in Arkansas for seven years and used only on small rides. I added the set of Screaming Eagle mufflers to it here in AR. I have the original mufflers and they will go with the bike. They are extremely quiet. Oil and filter has just been changed. It was also changed each time I took it out of storage. The battery is brand new as of 4-16-15. New style AGM high output battery. My wife and I love the bike, it is just a real joy to be able to take it for a ride on some of these great back roads in Arkansas. But here is the problem. We are both turning 76 this summer and the legs are not holding us up like they used to. So the decision is, to sell it and move on. We have purchased a Mini Cooper Convertible, two more wheels, but just as much fun. $5,500.00
