2012 Ducati panigale 1199. Adult ridden and owned. Never down. 3,500 miles. Asking $10,500 obo. Maintenance done twice a year. Fresh battery and rear rubber last year. Standard Features May Include: Extreme Standard of Reference The 1199 Panigale sets a new and extreme standard of reference in the world of superport bikes. The project that brought the 1199 Panigale into being based itself on two seemingly impossible objectives, which have been brilliantly achieved: a 10 kg reduction in weight and a 25 HP increase in power. Its arrival is a milestone in the glorious history of the Ducati Superbike. Objective:The Track Aggressive design enhanced by full LED headlamps, front mudguard in carbon fibre, machined Marchesini rims, electronic control suspensions and adjustable Öhlins steering damper. With this racing outfit, the 1199 Panigale S is ready to enter the track and win the race against the clock. Architecture The engine has been designed as the structural element of the frame. As such, its architecture has been completely reviewed to ensure the best design in terms of structure, weight distribution and robustness. The cylinders, at a 90° angle of each other, have been rolled back an additional 6° on the crankcase to produce a 21° angle between the front cylinder and the horizontal plane. This has allowed the engine to go forward by 32 mm, as a result improving the distribution of weights between the front and rear end and achieving the perfect position of the fastening points of the cylinder heads into the monocoque chassis of the 1199 Panigale. Monocoque Technology The 1199 Panigale's chassis marks an enormous innovation: different components have been integrated to give shape to a single compact and lightweight element that enhances the rider's posture to perfect the riding position. The monocoque structure in cast aluminium for increased strength uses the Superquadro engine as a structural element and aids in reducing the bike's total weight by 5 kg. The monocoque frame is fixed directly to the cylinder head, and at front are two aluminium bushings inserted with the steering tube bearings. In addition to performing the traditional function of frame, the monocoque also acts as an air-box and significantly contributes to lowering the overall weight of the motorcycle. Housed inside, besides the air filter, are the throttle bodies and fuel circuit complete with injectors, and the bottom of the aluminium tank (lighter by 1.9% compared to the 1198) is used as a cover for the airbox. 2012 Ducati Superbike 1199 PANIGALE, Up for sale is my 2012 Ducati 1199. It is the base model with no ABS. It has 4523 miles. There has been no issues with it and has been very well maintained. It has not seen a race track (unfortunately) and has only been used as a weekend toy. It hasn't even seen a drop of rain (I am not proud of that). The bike has its own garage and is kept on Pit Bull stands (Never dropped). Maintenance: - Oil and filter changed at the following intervals using Motul 300v 15w50 and a Ducati OEM filter for every change: 600 miles on 5/12/13 - 1732 miles on 3/4/14 - 4013 miles on 4/22/15 - Brake/Clutch fluid changed @ 1732 miles on 3/4/14 with Motul RBF 600. - The chain has been cleaned and greased every 1000 miles with Motul chain clean and lube. - The coolant was flushed and changed @ 1732 miles on 3/4/14 with distilled water and Red Line Water Wetter. - The left hand control recall/warranty was performed @ 4013 miles on 4/22/15. - The updated heat shield (installed) and engine covers are included. These are the only changes made to the bike from stock: - Competition Werkes LTD fender eliminator. The stock piece is also included. - DP tinted tall windscreen. The stock windscreen is also included. - Corse Dynamics mirror block off plates. The stock mirrors are included. - I installed Michelin Power Cup tires at about 3200 miles. The bike is financed through PSECU (credit union in PA). If an agreement of sale is made, the check is made out to PSECU and they will release the title to the buyer. I just recently sold a car in the same manner and it went very smoothly. $13,000.00
