I am selling what has always been my dream bike. It took me a long time to find one with such low miles and that was 100 percent fully "unmolested". This is a 99 Ducati 996 Biposto that is all original. The only thing changed was a fender eliminator (I still have the OEM fender with lights that goes with it) and the Fast By Ferracci carbon fiber racing exhaust, not cheap. Sounds incredible. I also have a brand new set of real carbon fiber intake duct covers that will go with it to match the other little bits of carbon fiber on the bike if you wish to install them. Bike has zero issues. Rides like a dream, hands down one of the best handling bikes ever made. Power and torque is killer. This is NOT a beginners bike, also please note this bike was designed for the track (which it has never seen) but the gearing is higher, and it needs to move to cool. This is not a city bike with traffic. I do however take it around town and open her up on back open curved roads. It just wants to fly, not be babied feathered. You will NOT find a cleaner 996 than this with this many low miles that actually does get taken out when the weather is nice. Always garage kept in a climate controlled environment, as well as smoke free. The bike has never been driven in the rain or laid over. Nothing has been repainted or panels replaced. All original from factory. Comes with the OEM tool kit as well. All of the service records are included, exhaust, service, battery, etc. Comes with a single key. Tires are in great shape as well. I only ran 91 Ethanol free fuel in the bike. Treated with Stabil 365 during winter and started one every few weeks to keep things lubricated and such. Title is clean, and there is no lean on the bike. I am willing to ship, but buy arranges shipping for bike moving company to pick up. I have sold and bought a bikes this way and never had an issue. These are getting hard to find that are low miles and unmolested and un-tracked. I wanted to just keep it in storage and a collectors item for down the road, but this bike is such a dream to ride and look it, it deserves to be enjoyed. It will make its new owner very happy. I get compliments everywhere I go and every time I fill up, a huge head turner. Miles could go up a bit as it has already hit 82 deg in the MO and she needs her legs stretched. Bike was never driven super hard, I am older and wiser these days. Price is fairly firm due to the reasons above. If local, no test drives unless cash in hand. You are more than welcome to come pick up yourself as well if you are not too far away. Bike is located in Independence, MO about 20 minutes east of Kansas City, MO. Payment will need to be a cashiers check or cash, once cleared you can arrange to collect bike and I will send signed title.

Ducati 996 Desmoquattro Superbike. Excellent condition. 40,606 miles. Successor to the iconic 916, this is essentially the same bike with a bumped displacement and a better charging system. Liquid cooled, fuel injected 90 degree L-twin. DOHC, four valves per cylinder, single sided swingarm, Showa suspension. Six speed gearbox. 112 HP. This is the standard 996 Biposto (two seat position), not an S or SPS. Completely stock condition, all original - the only aftermarket part is a Yoyodyne clutch slave cylinder, to ease clutch pull. Typical of this model, the fuel level and oil pressure sending units are flaky. I use the trip odometer for fuel range, and I have tested the oil pressure with an external gauge (spec is 4-6 bar cold, this bike measures 5 bar). Good rubber - approx 40% worn. Bike runs flawlessly and needs nothing - ready to ride. Within the last 400 miles: Valve clearance adjustment, rocker arm & camshaft inspection, timing belt inspection; New OEM oil filter, synthetic oil, air filter, sparkplugs. Front and rear brake fluid flush, clutch fluid flush, coolant flush, and a new sealed glass-mat style battery. Cosmetically: only one small ding in the top of the tank. Plastic is perfect. Very clean, inside and out. No rust or corrosion anywhere. Original stainless steel exhaust is polished everywhere it can be seen with the body panels on. History: Bike was traded in at a Triumph dealer in MA where I was working as a mechanic. It was a little rough around the edges and had no available service history. I purchased it directly from my employer, and went through it completely, researching the typical issues these bikes have, and addressing each one as needed. Due to the special tools required to remove the cams and inspect the rockers, I had this work done by Ducati of Daytona. (I had moved to FL in the intervening year) Upon reassembly, head and base gaskets and a number of cooling system seals were replaced. I've been riding the bike for about 400 miles now, and it is a dream to ride. I'd love to keep it, but the garage is a bit too full. Need to thin the herd. Price is competitive and firm. Serious inquiries can call Dave with any questions threeeightsix627eighttwosixtwo. $500 deposit with paypal required within 24 hours. Balance in cash and local pickup is strongly encouraged. I am in Palm Coast FL. If out of state sale, certified check will be accepted, but bike nor title will be delivered until funds clear. Buyer pays all shipping costs and must arrange residential pickup. Thanks for your interest. Dave
