2014 Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Granturismo, 2014 Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Granturismo Ready to ride the world The S Granturismo embodies the touring spirit of the new Multistrada to perfection. 73-litre panniers, top case and Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) have been combined with even more touring-oriented ergonomics to engine protection bars, to provide an optimal set-up whatever the riding conditions. The goal: to tour the world. The "S" philosophy The range-topping 'S' versions of the Multistrada 1200 feature the innovative DSS (Ducati Skyhook Suspension) active suspension system and come with different equipment depending on specific usage. There are three configurations available: S Touring, S Pikes Peak and S Granturismo. The S Granturismo is the top-class tourer in the range. Derived from the Multistrada 1200 S Touring, the S Granturismo features a complete range of accessories to emphasise its long-range road touring vocation. S Granturismo The new Multistrada 1200 S targets those customers who want to enjoy the sport performance of the Multistrada 1200 on long trips with a passenger. 2013 Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Touring, 2013 Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Touring Touring meets passion The new 1200 S Touring expresses the Multistrada philosophy to perfection. Thanks to the new Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS), the S Touring actively responds to the challenges thrown up by the terrain. Stylish panniers, heated grips and a practical centre stand make it a bike that was born to travel. Standard Features May Include: 4 bikes in 1 Ducati's four-bikes-in-one concept is achieved by selecting from a choice of four pre-set Riding Modes programmed to instantly change the engine character and the riding parameters of the Multistrada 1200 - even while riding. The four modes are made possible by combining a number of class-leading technologies. An electronic Ride-by-Wire (RbW) system administers different mappings to regulate power delivery by interpreting the rider's throttle input, while the world-beating Ducati Traction Control system (DTC) uses eight levels of system interaction to enhance control by reducing wheel-spin. For 2013, ABS is also programmed to offer the optimum setting appropriate to the Riding Mode selected and, for the S' versions, Sachs electronic suspension front and rear not only configures the suspension set-up with Riding Mode appropriate electronic adjustment, but Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) now also instantly reacts to additional inputs to maintain overall vehicle composure for a smoother ride. Testastretta 11° DS The Testastretta 11° engine was introduced on the Multistrada 1200 in 2010. Derived from the Superbike 1198 engine, it achieved brilliant results when valve overlap was reduced from 41° (typical of sport engines) to 11°, losing some peak power in favour of improved overall smoothness, especially in the mid-range. The new Multistrada family introduces the second generation of Testastretta 11° DS engines with several new features that make it even smoother and more tractable. Dual Spark ignition (DS) uses two plugs per cylinder to ensure complete combustion in very short time. The fuel injectors have been relocated to aim the jet of fuel directly at the hotter rear end of the suction valve, so that all fuel is atomised. A secondary air system similar to that of the 1199 Panigale has been introduced to optimise operation and reduce cyclic combustion variability without affecting emissions. A controlled flow of fresh air is supplied to the exhaust duct to enable complete oxidisation of hot unburnt gases, to effectively reduce hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide levels. With 150 hp power, 12.7 Kgm (124.5 Nm) torque and 10% less consumption (at 90 kph), the Testastretta 11° DS engine sets a new benchmark for Ducati twin-cylinder engines. Sachs active control suspension The current Multistrada 1200 'S' versions are equipped with 48-mm front fork and Sachs rear monoshock, both integrated with the Ducati Skyhoo

2015 Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Iceberg White, 2015 Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Go everywhere The new Multistrada 1200 S takes riding beyond all the barriers of compromise. Nothing stands in your way. Unbeatable on tarmac, perfect and comfortable for long-distance travelling, fun off the road and agile through town. Thanks to the new Ducati Testastretta DVT engine, cutting-edge Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) Evo and refined electronics, there are no limits to the versatility of this true multibike. Just get on and head where you want. Features may include: Ducati Testastretta DVT The new Multistrada 1200 is powered by the brand-new revolutionary Ducati Testastretta DVT engine which adopts a Desmodromic continuous variable valve timing to optimize power and torque across a wider rpm band delivering an unprecedented combination of breath-taking-torque (132 [email protected] rpm), class-leading power (160 [email protected] rpm) , super-smoothness and low fuel consumption; the Desmodromic Variable Timing (DVT) is a double and continuous system applied for the first time to a motorcycle engine managing both exhaust and intake camshafts. Exhaust System Both main manifolds end up straight into the single 3-chamber silencer, which acts as a 2-1-2 collector box and accommodates cat converter and sound-deadening material. The two compact, light aluminium alloy tail pipes exit the silencer and are positioned low to the side to keep noise and heat away from the passenger. Independent Dual-Spark Configuration The Ducati Testastretta DVT is equipped with two sparks whose ignition is managed independently: (1) one is placed at the center of the combustion chamber, the additional one (2) on the external side. The benefit is to provide at any engine speeds a further more effective twin flame-front that ensures complete and efficient burning (quicker and more complete) of the fuel-air mixture within the combustion chamber across a shorter period of time. At low engine speeds the two plugs work simultaneously, while at high engine speeds the two plugs are managed independently with a dedicated ignition timing. Anti-knocking sensor The Ducati Testastretta DVT features an integrated anti-knocking sensor; while optimized for high octane fuel (RON 95), thanks to an anti-knocking sensor the motor can also operate - without manual intervention - on lower octane normal fuel (RON 91) as are sometimes found in distant countries. Superbike spec Brembo braking system The Multistrada 1200 S features a Superbike spec Brembo braking system composed by racing oriented PR 16 brake pump managing two Ø 330 mm front discs coupled with Superbike-spec Brembo Monobloc M50 calipers. The rear performs with an huge single Æ 265 mm disc gripped by a single 2 x 28 floating Brembo caliper with sintered pads. The performance
