I am the original owner of this 2009 Ducati Monster 696. It is in excellent condition both cosmetically and mechanically. Has never been run hard. Bought it in January of 2010 and spent the winter making minor changes like shortening the turn signals, eliminating the emissions box and the rear plate holder. The factory exhaust was removed and boxed before summer riding and replaced with Two Brothers slip-on exhaust and the ECU was remapped to suit. The countershaft sprocket was changed at about 5,000 miles from a 15 tooth to a 14 tooth to raise engine rpms at cruising speed. It pulls strongly above 4,000rpm where the engine is very happy, and is a joy to ride on the back roads or the highway. This bike is light weight and quick, runs and handles very nicely. Divorce and getting older force the sale of this fun bike. Far from the most powerful out there, but it will still scare you if you hit the throttle hard. I have all of the original paperwork that came with the bike, the extra key, the code card and the owner's manual. Beyond that I have the factory parts book and both parts book and service manual on CD. I have all of the original parts that were removed and all are in like new condition. They include the original seat, mufflers and the mini shield. (See photos) The Duc has a new rear tire but will be in need of a front tire soon. It does not need anything else. I will consider any reasonable offer, but don't bother low-balling me. I don't need to sell it that badly. Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. Thanks for looking.P.S.
