Hey guys, I'm a student at UC Davis looking to reluctantly part with his Ducati. I love the bike and still ride it frequently, but I can't afford the upkeep while going to school at the same time. Not gonna lie to you, the bike isn't in perfect condition, but it 's a beautiful bike that is absurdly nice to ride and starts/runs without a fuss every time and has never been dropped. The bike currently has a leaky front forks and the front brake pads need replacing, but I've already purchased the replacement fork seals and brake pads; I simply don't have the tools to put them on myself or the money to pay a shop. There's a small oil leak that appears to be coming from the oil drain plug (extremely small leak, only a few drops onto the pipe over the course of days. The license plate is messed up because the previous owner had a cheap tail-chop kit holding the last one on which rattled loose and got sucked into the rear tire; resulting in me purchasing a new set of tires and a new, high-quality light kit that is bolted on. The rear sprocket and chain are new because the old one was worn when I got it and apparently not tightened, resulting in the gashes you see in the picture. The old generator cover cracked from heat (maybe the previous owner let it get too low on oil at one point) and I replaced it with a used one. Last owner put a ****** tint on the fairing for some reason; it's starting to come off on its own. Now to the fun part, the upsides. There are numerous new parts on the bike that I listed below and I made sure to do research on the forums before every purchased, so whatever I put on the bike is quality and built to last. The previous owners left extensive documentation of added parts and shop visits (I confess I've hardly taken this to the shop and mostly fixed it at home so there won't be much documentation from me). I was given box of spare parts with the bike and have since added to it. There are hundreds of spare parts in here including another replacement generator cover, a replacement rear shock set, front fork springs, a mod tool for the fuel injector, gaskets, handlebars, side mirrors, and a bunch of other stuff. I'll also be including the few specialty tools that I purchased to work on the bike, such as the chain adjustment tool and a puller to remove the generator case. The biggest upside to this bike is that aside from all the small problems I listed, the bike starts the first time 99.99% of the time and never has any problems getting from A to B. I commuted daily to and from school/work 30mi round trip, 5 days a week, for 2 years and the bike never gave me performance problems. It's also about 1000x more fun than any other bike I've owned or ridden. If I wasn't paying for school I'd definitely keep it and fix the minor problems, but that's not in the cards right now.
