TRIUMPH SEMI ACTIVE SUSPENSION (TSAS) The new Tiger Explorer s performance is given a new level of dynamism on the XCx,XCA,XRx & XRt models with the addition of the ground-breaking Triumph Semi Active Suspension System. This allows the rider to electronically control the adjustment of the front and rear suspension damping, automatically adapting the rear shock absorber pre-load settings to reflect the terrain being covered and load carried, to provide optimal grip and drive in any situation. The system uses an inertial measurement unit which incorporates 3 gyros and 3 accelerometers to continuously measure the bike's roll, pitch and yaw as well as longitudinal & lateral accelerations. The chassis central unit then uses this information, along with suspension position, swing arm position, wheel speed sensors, brake pressure and twist grip, to calculate the damping settings. All designed to deliver an engaged, confidence inspiring ride. RIDER MODES The new Tiger Explorer family makes full use of Triumph s impressive Rider Mode technology to offer a choice of up to five Rider Modes, four which are pre-set and one which can be programmed by the rider which alters the configuration of the bike to suit riding style, road and weather conditions. Each Rider Mode changes the engine map, the levels of ABS and Traction Control, and where fitted, the damping set-up of the TSAS system and power. Rider Modes: ROAD Maximises comfort and riding pleasure, particularly over long distances. The ABS and Traction Control settings ensure great stability and optimise braking on paved surfaces. The engine map is set to make the most of the smooth delivery of power over asphalt or similar surfaces. The TSAS (if fitted) will provide the optimal setting for road use. Selling my 2004 GS 1150. Had it for the last 3 years, mostly for commuting on the 15. This is a reliable beast that will put a smile on your face whenever you're in it's saddle. Speaking of saddles, it comes with a heated Corbin seat for those chilly days. Heated grips. Recently had it's 12K tuneup. New starter and brand new seals on the cylinder heads. Brake and clutch flush. Comes with an extra set of tires (Shinko Trailmaster) with 95% tread left. New alternator belt changed at 42K. Adventure mirrors that won't snap off/break if you drop the bike. Ram mount for mobile phone with USB port to charge. Black Jesse panniers. Toolbox intact. Services done at BMW of Escondido. It's not uncommon to take the SuperMoto down a twisty forest trail as well as a tight canyon corners. Its 398cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine provides strong low-rpm torque and crisp throttle response for any of these occasions. They key difference from the DR-Z400SM and the DR-Z400S is the inverted forks. Inverted front forks contribute to less unsprung weight and improved overall handling. Features May Include: Suzuki's Supermotard model based on DR-Z400S - combines Supermotard style and features in a narrow, lightweight street-legal package. Automatic decompression system for quick/easy engine starts. Compact 4-valve cylinder head with 36mm intake valves, 29mm exhaust valves, narrow 28-degree included valve angle and shim-under-bucket valve adjustment system. Electric start with lightweight starter motor and a compact 6.5 amp maintenance-free battery.
