Kawasaki 2000 KLR650 Marine Bike From The Iraq War This bike starts right up and runs good in all 5 gears This is not a diesel engine, it was a Marine bike, they used gasThere is only one mirror, there are no turn signals There are a couple of spots that have light surface rust spotsThe only piece of plastic missing is the lid to the tool box on the rear rackIt has a new: front tire, oil & filter, spark plug, battery, seat cover, coolant, brake fluid, hand grips, fuel line & filter, battery cover Besides installing all the new parts listed: the carb and petcock were overhauled, the tank was flushed, all the cables lubed There is new paint on the hand guards, engine guards, handlebars, and all the foot peg bracketsThe rear tire and the air filter element are very close to newThere are no gas, oil or coolant leaksThe fan turns on and off like it should The speedometer and the odometer work fineThe brakes work great with a lot of pad left All the lights work, including black out lights, the horn works To make it safety inspectable in Texas and most other states is a license plate holder and lamp I believe the 155 miles on the odometer: the rear tire looks to have that much wear on it, the break in sticker is still on the speedometer, the exhaust head pipe is still black I will not personally do the shipping but I can give the buyer the carrier info and I will give the bike to them, they deliver any where in the 48 statesIt has a new clear first ever civilian, Texas title I know the bike is from the Iraq War because we bought a lot of them from the Government Surplus Lot and the manager told us so, some of the bikes had shipping tags on them from Afghanistan There might be a couple of extra miles on it by the time it is delivered to a carrier or new buyer, I ride it every 3 or 4 days to keep it going

Vintage aircraft museum is selling a Kawasaki KLR650 that did service in the Iraq War. Purchased the lot of them from a Federal Government Surplus station, this sale is for one motorcycle. There is a piece of vinyl chipped off the front of the seat cover. The tool box on the back rack is missing the lid. All the plastic is there, none of the plastic is cracked, there is some sun fade. It has a large Acerbis gas tank, I do not know the capacity of the tank. Neither the petcock or the tank leaks. There are no oil or coolant leaks. The tires are in good condition, they hold air. The charging system charges at 13.4 volts. There is a new mechanical seal at the water pump. The electric start starts the bike immediately, the choke works fine. The engine idles fine, revs out and has plenty of power. There is no knocking or tapping noise, it is a tight sounding engine. Everything electric works well. All buttons of both hand switches operate freely. All the lights work: hi & low beam, both brake light switches work the brake lamp with a tail lamp working also. The horn blows. There is a switch at the base of the handlebars that has the options of "lights off", "black out" or "lights on". The switch and the blackout lights work fine. The bike has the Progressive Suspension conversion front & back, very plush, no leaks. The conversion also included the key in the main switch locked in the switch, it can not be taken out, wide metal foot pegs, the message bag on the front fender and dot 5 brake fluid. The conversion also included the rear fender being cut short, eliminating the license lamp and holder. We are not responsible for shipping but will help. There is a clear Texas title. This is a gas powered motorcycle, the army had diesel, the marines had gas.
