This KTM 990 SMT was manufactured 04/13 and has been garage kept since new. I'll assume you need no introduction as 99% of those looking already know what this bike is all about. I have been riding bikes since I was 11 years old and this is about the 52nd bike I've purchased. I have owned a little of everything. Now that I'm 51 years old, I've moved up to the finer bikes like Ducati, BMW and KTM. Owned them all before. I bought at KTM 950 SM and fell in love with KTM. Next I bought the 990 SMT and loved the fuel injection and ABS brakes. I think this 2013 is the best most fun bike I have ever owned and the only reason I'm selling it is because I bought the KTM 1290 Super Duke. I'd advise you to get a Super Duke if you want the beast and are willing to pay around $17k. But if you want a very strong torque bike that is a pure pleasure to ride that has bags and wind protection, the 990 SMT is awesome. The Yamaha WR250F is the pinnacle of 4-stroke performance. It has nearly the same amount of power as a 450cc. It is street legal in most states and very aggressive on pavement. It is the most capable off-road of any enduro motorcycle. It weighs 100lbs less than a 450cc with almost 40 horsepower. You could set this bike up for motocross, race all day, and then drive it home. It is very hard to find and extremely reliable. This bike is in perfect condition and has been garage kept since it left the factory. The bike has never had ethanol gasoline put in it. It spent the last year unused in a climate controlled shop. The motor was disassembled, inspected, and every seal and gasket was replaced by a Yamaha service manager. The tires, chain, and sprockets are good. It has full GYTR FMF exhaust, R&D adjustable carb bowl, brand new fork seals and seal savers. It has a trip computer with trip, speedo, timer, and clock. It has both a kickstart and electric start. The battery is good and also starts within the first two kicks every time. This bike has very low hours. This bike needs nothing and is ready to go.
