I am reluctantly parting with one of the best bikes I have ever owned due to health reasons. This 2004 650 Suzuki VStrom is a great all-around bike. It will go across the country (5.3 gal tank) or commute to work. I have ridden it at zero degrees and well over 100. It isn’t new and has some scratches (dropped once turning into a parking lot), but is dependable. I have added a lot of extras: hand guards, grip warmers, throttle lock, crash bars, highway pegs, Givi side bags, large Shad top case, front fender mud guard, oil filter protector plate, fuse block, gear indicator, power outlet (standard and coaxial), Sargent seat, and center stand. There may be more I’ve forgotten.

Engine/Transmission/Exhaust: Engine case halves split, transmission gears and transmission shafts in excellent condition, Kick start shaft replaced with new Honda shaft, kick start lever also replaced at the same time. all new Vesrah gaskets throughout the whole engine. All new Honda orings and Honda seals replace throughout the whole engine. New 72cc cylinder. New Honda piston and new Honda 3pc ring set. New made in Taiwan(High Quality) 72cc head installed with new Japanese valves, guides, and valves springs. Cylinder head is completely new. New 72cc intake manifold. New 72cc carburetor. New throttle cable. New throttle twist grip assembly. New Honda twist grip handlebar rubbers. New air filter. Automatic clutch completely rebuilt with new Honda friction plates and new Honda steel plates. New Vesrah heavy duty clutch springs. New Japanese points and new hot NKG spark plug. Up for auction is a 1972 Honda Ct70 H 4 speed clutch model. Engine: Engine completely disassembled, shift forks replaced. Transmission gears look great. New Honda kick start shaft and new kick start lever. New Vesrah gaskets throughout, all new Honda seals throughout, clutch completely rebuilt with new friction and steel plates, new clutch springs. New Honda piston and rings. Cylinder Head rebuilt with new Japanese Valves and Honda Valve Springs. Carb rebuilt with new gasket and packings. New Honda cam sprockets and DID cam chain. Does not smoke or leak oil. Runs and shifts as it should. Frame/Body: Paint is original Candy Ruby Red, has some scratches and chips but is not sun faded. Not bad for a 43 year old Mini Trail. New Vesrah brake shoes front and rear. New wheel bearings front and rear. New clutch cable. All new rubber grommets on frame and handlebars. New Handlebars are exact copies of the original Honda CT70. New DID drive chain. Front and Rear drive sprockets look good and have a lot of life left on them. I'm selling my 2009 Kawasaki Versys that is in great condition. I bought it used from a dealer about 2 years ago. It had 600 miles on it at the time of purchase and the previous owner put a PUIG hugger, Pirelli Tires, and a PUIG tail remover kit on the bike. I've got a Moto Werks lowering kit that I'll be throwing in (it is the one that can't be used with a hugger though). I've also got a set of bags that can be seen in the photos. Overall the bike is in great condition and has had regular maintenance. It currently has 3880 miles on it but may be ridden a few additional to show it while it's for sale. Touratech rear rack, BMW tank bag and antilock brakes (switchable to off). 12v BMW outlet and short windscreen. Can also include VERSAHAUL carrier for 2" traler hitch with it's own set of tail lights (Plug into trailer socket) See picture. I purchased this bike in Pomona, California, in 2004. Excellent in high altitude due to fuel injection. Rides as good on pavement as on dirt trails. My Jack Russell has ridden in her carrier strapped to the Touratech over Sierra mountain passes and through Yosemite more than once. Pictures here are the Rockies near Durango, Co. Tight mountain twisties are a blast. Alas, I live on the prairie for now. I am getting 70 MPG here in the flat lands.
