Buying a completely Honda Ruckus from someone you don't know? There are many questions you should ask yourself before making this big purchase…. What harness does the bike have? How was harness installed? (any cut wires, how is the solder, under battery box photos?)Do they have a proven track record in the Ruckus community?Close up photos of all the wiring components! I can tell you from personal experience as I have bought many previously built bikes, and they all left something to be desired. Maybe the wiring wasn't completely tucked, or something simple like the bike doesn't turn on! You truly never know who built the bike and how it was built…or used! No crap loom used here!No crap fuel lines used here!No crap soldering work on this bike!No crap wiring work to see people! No crap anywhere on this bike! This bike was built with professionalism and simplicity in mind. I started out to create a "Root Beer Float" color combination and the end result shows my vision. Under the battery box is cleaner than most Ruckus in the nation, and that is what matters most. The key electrical components are stored in here so cleanliness is imperative. This bike was a ground up build, starting with a front frame and rear frame! I purchased nothing but the best parts available for this build, which shows in the photos. The color is called Lazer Root Beer, from Prismatic Powders. Almost every single piece of this bike was powder coated or painted to match. The rear frame was completely shaved and drilled for a partial wire tuck. All welds and unfinished metal were TIG welded and molded before being powder coated. The battery box and gas tank cover were color matched in Root Beer Metallic. Everything was clear powder coated to give it a high gloss shine. Weekly, I wash/clay/polish/wax the painted and powdered surfaces constantly keeping this bike spotless! This bike is running a Makoa GY6 harness which is by far the best harness out there for these bikes, simplicity is key here folks. I have built many Ruckus' and never have had a ruckus start up and idle and run as good as this one, it is a factory freak. The motor is a big bore 171cc with an A12 race cam. GPS speeds recorded at 73mph on flat roads! It has tons of torque from stoplight to stoplight. It has one small nick on the rear frame under the right side peg from test riding, full disclosure. Everything else is MINT, as you can tell from the pictures. The bike has less than 75 street miles. Oil has been changed once for overkill. Bike runs flawlessly. Starts up every time with no issues. Cruises at 65, easily hits 68-70 mph. Fastest on flat roads, 73mph. I have put over $14k into this bike to make it is what it is today. I am not asking for it all back, I am asking a lot less. I am selling this bike to start a new 2015 project over the winter! I will not deliver the bike, you are responsible for pick up. This will give you the chance to go over the bike with me in person, ask all the questions you may have, and I'd be happy to help in anyway. Good luck and hope you enjoy drooling ! Up for your consideration is a one-off custom chopper hand built by billy lane. The bike is titled as a 2003, however the build was not completed until late 2004. I personally took delivery of the bike at Billy's old shop in Melbourne, FL on July 11th, 2005 and it has been in my possession ever since. The bike has been ridden. It has scratches, nicks, minor paint defects, and the old 1960's 4-speed leaks oil. As I stated, I bought the bike with the intention of ridding it, not showing it. Having said this, I am VERY meticulous of my things so I personally feel its in great shape give its year, and the fact that it was used as intended. The S&S 103 Shovelhead runs strong. Over the past 2 years, responsibilites have prevented me from riding it as much as I'd like to. Regardless it has been stored in a climate controlled garage. Why am I selling? I'm just ready for something new. In retrospect, I most likely will regret selling it, but my current financial state will only allow me to own 1 bike at a time, so I need to sell this to build another. Anyway, below are some of the highligts: S&S 103 Shovelhead (Morris Mag, Kick-Only) Actual Klein Wrenches for forward controlls and shifter Hand made 2.5 gallon tank (1948 Desoto hood ornament) Mondo springer 240 rear tire w/ Exile Sprotor Hand-tooled leather seat (Adam Croft) Hand made sissy bar (originally this was not on the bike, I brought it back down to billy in early 2006 for this) Paint & stripping by Joe Richardson Milage is a guestimate as there isn't an odometer. NO warranty is expressed or implied. Shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder. Bike is located in Raleigh, North Carolina Chopper is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the listing at any time. PLEASE feel free to contact me with any questions, and all REASONABLE offers will be strongly considered.
