2005 250 mm Springer Chopper “Black Hills Gold” This beautiful creation was brought to life by South Side Motorcycle Company in Orland Park, IL. The vision started with an engine from a 1977 Shovel head and an 18” spoked car rim with a custom hub designed to accommodate a 1” inch axle and a spinner knock-off. The idea was simple, a Longrider Chopper reminiscence of the early years with an incredible paint job and perfectly tuned Shovel Head engine. After looking into the engine it was decided that it would be best to start with a new block and only use the heads form the original 1977 engine. The engine consists of an S&S short block with a Black Widow cam and an updated oiling system designed to allow the oil to travel to the heads through the pushrods. The rocker boxes were split and polished until they shined like chrome, it has a Rivera carb with a velocity stack and it sounds just plain nasty ripping through the one off exhaust built by South Side. To achieve the desired stretch and rake they went with a molded hard tail frame from Pro Street Frameworks that has been stretched 10 up, 5 back and has a 45 degree rake. The frame is complimented by a gorgeous springer front end from Denver Choppers that is 25 over. The old school paint job consists of a variegated gold leaf pattern with pinstripes on top of a House of Kolor Black. Other notable feature include the Joker Machine dual headlights, Paucho Z bars and risers, the stretched Paucho coffin tank, Paucho rear fender, Exile forward controls, Precision Machine hand controls, a Rev-Tech 5 speed transmission and a Belt Drives Ltd (BDL) belt drive. This is a top of the line build that earned Best of Show in the judged class at the Easyrider show in Louisville, KY in 2006. This award prompted it being showcased in the March 2007 issue of Biker. The build on this bike exceeded $40,000 and it has been driven less than 200 miles since its completion. 2002 Orange County Choppers T-Rex, Ridden on the first episode of American Chopper this gorgeous chopper was hand built by Paul Teutul himself. The T-Rex rigid frame is 8” up and 5” back with a 45 degree neck that is perfectly complimented by the 18” over Forking by Frank front end. The heart of this ferocious beast is a show polished 116” TP Engineering V-Twin that puts its power to the 240 mm rear end via a 3” BDL open primary and a Baker 5 speed tranny. The power transfer seems effortless with its Easy Clutch hand lever and a 9 spring clutch. It’s fed by a Forcewinder intake and it sounds just plain nasty ripping through its Martin Brothers Slickstas exhaust. O.C.C. made the tombstone gas tank, whiskey barrel oil bag, the front fender and the rear fender. Billy Lane’s Chopper’s Inc. furnished the Whiskey bars as well the .44 Magnum 10” billet risers, pegs and grips. Everything on this bike is top of the line from the custom flamed paint job by Nub Grafix to the Danny Gray seat. We purchased this bike form the original owner in the spring of 2005 and sold it to the second owner shortly thereafter with an estimated 1000 miles. 1998 H-D 95th Anniversary FXDWG Custom Dyna motorcycles are the performance leaders amongst Harley's "big twins." They combine a Sportster front end with their own unique chassis. Dyna’s are the lightest, best handling and most versatile of the big twins. Their relatively light weight makes them a natural choice as the basis for a hot rod bike. The current Dyna chassis was first introduced in 1991 with a limited-production FXDB Sturgis model. The FXDWG was first introduced in 1996 and remained relatively unchanged until 2006. This particular example is an anniversary model with all of the appropriate 95th Anniversary badges. Not only that but it is a two owner bike that has been meticulously cared for since day one. It currently has 24,298 miles. The engine was completely rebuilt in 2002 at which time it had 20,411 miles. The rebuild brought it form 80 inches up to 88 and it is currently putting out 90 horsepower with even more torque. During the rebuild it received Wiseco high compression pistons and rings, an Andrews 72 cam, a large valve kit, a Crane ignition and the heads were ported and polished. It is fed via a Mikuni carb that’s mated to a K&N air filter and sounds just plain nasty ripping through its custom Bub’s exhaust. It was last serviced at 22,969 in 2012 at which time it received all new fluids, filters, brakes and a rear tire. Not only that but it also has thousands of dollars worth of upgrades on the bike that really set this apart from the crowd. Upgrades included the H-D leather saddle bags, quick release H-D windshield, custom billet rims, billet forward controls, luggage rack, tall sissy bar, luggage rack, Live to Ride primary covers & mirrors, chrome front end, axle covers, steel braided cable & lines, chrome upper & lower belts guards, custom levers with tassels as well as custom pegs, pedals and grips.
