This machine has sat for a few decades in dry storage. It has good spark and excellent kick start compression, perhaps due to a freshening of the piston and rings...[I have some paperwork indicating the purchase of new parts by the previous owner , now deceased] Found nice clean oil in the transmission case. Shifts through the gears readily. There's an original carburator rebuilt by Bultaco West remounted but never gassed. Comes with all new cables. New petcock installed on a solid fuel tank that has some easily removed internal surface rust. The mudguards are not dented or rusted. Has old period Pirelli tires with good tread still holding air on Akront aluminum rims. The dent on the rear wheel is on one side only and the wheel still spins quite un-wobbly... no bent spokes either, but replacement is suggested. New locks with keys were put on the sidecovers when my curiousity got me to remove the old [lost key] locks hoping for treasure.......and found a set of old Hi-test wrenches [made in India] wrapped in an oily cloth. Speedometer needle moves when the wheel turns. Comes with a useable new repro shop manual for a 250 Bultaco, some literature, decals and head gasket. Comes with a transferable registration in my name as New York did not issue titles until 1974. And a bill of sale too. I planned on getting it running and using it occasionally at vintage meets.......but i'm old and loosing my road talent rapidly....and if I fire it up, one of two things will happen. I'll fall into a very dangerous relationship, or I'll bump up the price. In any case, look over the pics, or come by, or send someone knowledgable to see it as it actually does show better than the pictures let on. All questions cheerfully answered. Specific pics? Just ask. The price is $1995. Paid in cash in person, or wire transfer to my bank. Overseas bidders, if purchased, I can deliver to a shipper at New York or New Jersey port from zip code 11763 for an additional $100 US paid to my Paypal account. [a 150 mile round trip thru hell for me] but you are responsible for crating and/or shipping from the port to you. Thank you for looking.
