Departing with my beloved Buell XB12SCG. This bike was my daily commuter for the past two years. It never once gave me problems and starts up right away.For those unfamiliar with Buell, it was a division of Harley run by Erik Buell, a rogue engineer. He made American sports bikes with modified Sportster engines. This model has all sorts of interesting innovations. Fuel and oil are stored in the frame, the exhaust sits below the bike, it's belt-driven, the front brake has a perimeter rotor, the air box sits under a translucent cover where a fuel tank would be located on a more traditional bike. It's really fascinating. Unfortunately, Harley sold off the division in 2009. And it vibrates like a Harley. It's a beast. All routine service performed at Oakland Harley-Davidson (I have paperwork).No major mods were added. I bought and installed OEM mirrors, and an engine scoop for better airflow to the motor. I added a grill to the headlight (from the XB9S model). The previous owner removed CARB emissions equipment and installed adjustable brake and clutch levers. He also removed the muffler guard and couldn't find it at the time of sale. And he dented one of the header pipes (you can see the damage in the pics). It has almost 19k miles on it. I'm selling because I no longer have access to a garage and I have two other bikes. This bike has always been garaged or covered during my ownership. And I've never dropped it. Comes with original owner's manual, spare key and paperwork for service. Asking $4,000 OBO. Cash only. I have owned this Buell for two years and unfortunately it is time to sell it to fund my masters degree. It has been a great bike. Jardine exhaust, Oberon mirrors, k&n air filter, LED tail light with built in turn signals, exhaust is heat wrapped, gloss black powder coated wheels, low mileage michelin pilot power tires. 1200cc five speed, excellent handling. 24k miles on the odometer. Like new condition - super low miles! Adult Owned and ridden. No modifications, never raced, dropped or ridden in the rain! Runs great, mechanically perfect. There's some rust on the bottom of the exhaust, but this is a known issue with these bikes. Can be sanded and painted - or replaced with a custom exhaust! This bike is in excellent condition. Never down, tons of extras added. By far top of the options for the buell for sale currently. 1. Hand guards added from the Ulysses 2. Oxford hand warmers 3. Lowered pegs and shifter kit 4. All decals removed for a black on black look 5. Bar end weights for reduced vibration 6. Brand new Michelin Pilot Power tires front and back 7. Kisan headlight modulator allowing for headlight modulation and duel headlight function 8. Jardine pipe and original factory pipe 9. Battery tender installed for prolonged battery life 10. Tech spec grips for tank and frame. She has 11k miles. No mechanical issues at all. Handling on the XB12SCG is one of the best experiences out there. The low center of gravity and short wheelbase makes this bike fun in the twisties. When you add on the V-Twin power and torque, you have one heck of a riding experience. I am the 2nd owner of this bike. The previous owner was very meticulous in caring for her. He was an older rider and knew how to take care of a bike. A lot of Buells have been road hard and abused. Not this one. She has a fresh oil change and is ready for the next ride.

Bought in 2012 with just over 2k miles on the clock. This has been a daily commuter for the majority of the time with a few trips along the way. This beautiful 2008 Valencia Orange Buell XBS12CG is the 25th Anniversary Edition. The 1203CC air-cooled V-Twin engine is all torque and and the Buell's design is all cornering. If you enjoy being the first off the line and leaning into the bends, this is the bike for you. If not, I bet there's an ad for a Vespa you might want to see. This CG model means that the seat is lower than the standard S model. This creates a lower center of gravity (CG) and is a joy to ride. Without a doubt, the best bike I've ever owned. If you're not familiar with Buell, you're missing out. This is an American bike that was engineered for success, not the typical cookie-cutter foreign rocket. The Lightning has an exhaust between the tires to lower the CG, it has the oil in the swing arm and fuel in the frame, and it has a huge front disc brake letting you stop on a dime. This is a 400 pound bike with a huge V-Twin. Come on, it doesn't get better than that. This Buell has six modifications - I've bobbed the tail (normally there is a big "cheese grater" hanging off the back that holds the turn signals and license plate), swapped the taillight for a brighter LED, added bar end weights, swapped the stock "bug eye" mirrors for sweet lowered cafe style mirrors, changed the air filter to a much more breathable K&N filter, and the best is that I swapped the stock muffler for a Hawk muffler. It basically sounds like a 1960s small block Chevy. Take that, Honda. I bought this new. It's adult owned and never dropped. I rode it primarily as a commuter bike and am only selling as my current commute just doesn't require it. Test rides need motorcycle endorsement and cash in hand. Come see it. Come hear it. Trust me.
