***confirmed after this posting the model year is 2004, unable to change listing title**If you're looking for something unique, something that is as fun to ride as it is to look at, you've found the right bike. Why am I selling it? I'm looking to buy the only other bike that I think would be more of an adventure, a Ural sidecar. I bought this Buell from the original owner who sold it to buy a house when he got married. It has been garaged, and was never ridden in the Winter. The condition is good, some minor scratches indicative of a bike of it's age but it is sound. As part of the deal I would include an Icon riding jacket, Icon helmet with installed speakers, and Icon riding gloves. A neo-antique, character-rich engine stuffed into a stubby, street fighter motorcycle. You won't find a lot of luxury options on this bike. Just a thundering, torque monster ready to tear up whatever asphalt you've got in front of you. Buell leveraged mass centralisation years before the Japanese motorcycle manufacturers joined in on the fun. The Lightning's rim-mounted disc brake works well plus lets the wheel be lighter for lower unsprung mass. Fuel-in-frame and oil in the swing arm aren’t rocket science but help keep the motorcycle's weight where it’s best carried allows for excellent cornering.The five-speed gearbox needs a firm prod and makes plenty of noise as you swap cogs – but it kind of adds to the experience of taming this motorcycle. 2005 Buell Lightning CITYX XB9SX, 2005 Buell XB9SX. This is a great bike. It runs and handles great. It is almost completely stock except for a nice aftermarket exhaust. The tires have excellent tread. 19,941 miles on the odometer and the oil was changed at about 19,200. The bike is ready to ride. I bought the bike this spring after not riding in a few years, but it turns out I just don't ride it much. So I'm completely getting out of the sport. I also have a practically new Icon Alliance Dark helmet and medium Joe Rocket jacket I would be willing to sell, too. $3,100 OBO, cash only. Clean title in hand and ready to go. $3,100.00

It is a nice bike. Under 9000 miles newer tires and pads. Always kept indoors. Less then 500 miles were put on in 3 years. No time to ride. It could probably use a new battery. I have it winterized at the moment.
