Single family owned original 1971 BSA Firebird Scrambler with under 5,000 miles (approximate). The bike sat indoors and protected in our family house for over 30 years. The bike was just fully serviced by one of the most reputable shops in NYC for vintage european bikes. Any part that was worn from sitting was replaced with brand new parts, new tires and new inner tubes. Bike runs great!BSA '71 650 cc Firebird Scrambler, twin carb, oil in frame model. Original high pipes replaced with street pipes. Front sprocket changed for lower rpm at highway speed. Missing speedometer and cable to rear wheel. Gas tank coated to prevent rust. Also added an oil pressure gauge but is currently not hooked up. All paint is original. Been sitting in garage for 35 years.

Stock 650cc British Classic BSA motorcycle for sale. This is a survivor. Not restored, original (with exception of shown handlebar, replaced due to chrome peeling). If you are a BSA or British vintage motorcycle enthusiast, you will not be disappointed at this fine specimen. New period correct tires, new inner-tubes, new battery. Kicks over easily. No test rides without cash in hand and valid motorcycle license.
Frame and engine numbers match. Clear title in hand. Runs fine. Paint is in very good shape. Chrome is mostly in very good shape (top fork nuts and gas cap have some light rust). Chrome on gas tank is in exceedingly good shape for a 47 year old bike. Bike is original and unrestored and is complete except for reflectors which mount under the tank (I have the original Lucas reflectors but can't find the mounts). Bike is in great shape for its age with correct patina. The original hi/lo beam/horn switch has been replaced with Triumph type switch (Lucas). This is the single carb model, which makes it easy to keep in tune. This model also has the good twin leading shoe (TLS) front brake, which was the best front brake BSA ever made (BSA modified it again in 1971, which was a step backwards). Oil has been changed regularly. You would have a hard time finding another A65 in this condition, as the (very) few that are out there have either been totally restored (and sell for $10k and up) or are in pretty rough shape, usually missing many parts (requiring $$$), and probably run poorly (if at all). This bike will turn heads as is, would hold its own in a local bike show, or would be an outstanding candidate for a full concourse restoration. I can arrange shipping if needed, or can deliver within 250 miles for $1.50 per mile. Email any questions. Thanks NADA guide values a bike like this at $6-8k, but I am selling for much less because I need to sell quickly

1969 BSA A65t Thunderbolt , Roller Bearing Conversion and complete rebuild with .020 overbore done by Ed at E&V Engineering, Howard City, MI in 2013. Less than 800 miles since. If you know BSA's, you know that this makes the bike far more desirable and reliable than the stock bushing bearing engine. Can fax the work order if interested. Frame up restoration done in 1998-99, with powder coated frame. 8700 miles since. Boyer ignition. Not 100% accurate--1967 tank and 1968 side decals, for example. No dents, slight scuff on left side of tank chrome. This is a beautiful looking and running bike and a one kick starter every time. $5,450.00
RELISTING: ASK YOUR WIFE BEFORE YOU BID........ This bike is way too good to part out or tear down and restore. It's a 650 Single Carb Thunderbolt. Numbers don't match. Texas Title..Starts first kick and idles, runs and rides well. Tires are old but nice chrome rims with barely a blemish. Paint is fair and missing a spot near the right fuel tap where it leaked long ago. I just cleaned and Sealed the tank with Caswell's. Good Compression, both sides. It does have some nice sounding Dunstall repos that has pitting but clean enough to use. Boyer Ign. is nice to have on a daily rider.. With some tires and some cleaning and you'll have a nice old BSA to ride. Come by the shop and take it a ride. Call with questions. Dave, 512-791.6146 I can help with shipping.
