Offered for sale is a BSA A65 Hornet. Ran and gone thru the gears before being stored since the late 1980's. Some parts were rechromed after the bike ran. Bought bike as a basket case. There were missing parts so I installed a number of NOS parts like the tach, levers, crank bearings, kill switch, brake shoes, boot bands. Other parts needed were new wheel bearings front and rear, fork seals, fork boots. Bike frame and other parts were powdercoated. The Hornet is sold as is; without warranty; and without the bike being represented as new off the showroom floor. Clean title. Buyer must supply their own transportation, pay in cash, or certified check and wait for it to clear before bike is released.. $13,000.00
1966 BSA Hornet , The BSA 1966 Hornet A65 was built as a competition model to compete in the English Hare Scrambles, before motocross evolved. These bikes were ridden in the California desert races by such notables as Steve Mqueen, Dick Mann and a host of others. They were also converted to flat track bikes and won many championships. This bike is fully documented with a rebuilt engine and trans, new Akront wheels w/stainless spokes and a list of other repairs and reconditioned parts. It has the Mikuni carb conversion along with an electronic ignition. It has brand new Avon street tires and tubes. All fluids have been serviced including the front forks. Any rubber lines have bee replaced. The original parts (3 languages) and original owners manual included. There is a large tub of various parts included also. It has a steel Goldstar tank on it but comes with the original fiberglass race tank. (don't use it!) I run 100 leaded octain race gas in it. The parts tub is included with sale.
