Now it steps up to the very same challenge. The current S 1000 RR model has been completely revised: BMW Motorrad engineers have entirely revised the bike's technology, design and fittings. The result: in its origins a genuine Double R, on the road a new supersports machine. The RR is the epitome of a superbike - and that applies to its design, too. Now in its third generation, you can instantly see its increased power. The profile is razor-sharp and extremely clear, the volume of the contours and shapes perfectly balanced. From the rear to the front section, every trim component has been redesigned - including the headlamp element, where the symmetry has been given greater emphasis. The new S 1000 RR has an output of 199 hp - 6 hp more than its predecessor. But it is not just its higher rated output that makes the Double R faster and more agile. Weighing in at 450 lbs incl. ABS and traction control, it is some 8.8 lbs lighter than the previous version. I hate to let the bike go ...I bought it and the previous owner had dropped it on the left side at a very low rate of speed. He didn't fix anything because it was still operational and ran great. I've had it since September. I'll post the pictures of the visible scratches. The bike has a full Akrapovic exhaust with a power commander five which is been mapped tuned. The bike runs superb, very fast. I never put it on the Dino but he said it was a 200 hp bike. It has the rear cowling and seat. The cowling I had to purchase separately. It also has Shorty levers. Has a smoke windscreen, tail kit. Frame sliders.I don't know how much you know about the BMW but it has mowed for rain sport and race modes. Heated handgrips. I promise you won't be disappointed in this motorcycle.

The high-performance 4-cylinder in-line engine derives from the RR but has now been further optimized. The result: extremely linear torque delivery for constant forward drive across the entire engine rev range. The engine of the S 1000 R has an output of 160 bhp/118 kW at 11,000 rpm, while a maximum of 83 lb/ft torque at 9,250 rpm puts a smile on the rider's face at every twist of the throttle. The lines of the S 1000 R are striking at first sight, too: aggressive tail-up/nose-down design, distinctive split face and the characteristic gills. The 'R' shows much less of its sharp-edged, muscular skin. Some people call it naked - we just call it focused on the essentials.
